May 1806
FINALLY! Austria surrenders. As part of my 7.500 points, I choose to have them cede Tyrolia and Carniola, which are both French Political Objectives. That will gain me an extra 2 Glory/turn. I was considering what else to choose as surrender terms besides Enforced Peace. I was considering Royal Wedding, but I know I'll have to fight Austria again, and I'm not worried about Austria winning the game, so a Glory loss on their part doesn't matter to me. I was also going to extend the peace period, but once again I'm not particularly worried about that. So I chose to embargo Britain. I don't know if that will have much effect, but we'll see.

I've never accepted a surrender yet (i get a lot of MDC crashes and have a hard time getting thru battles), but I'm wondering, if you were in a cash crunch could you have asked for say 1 province and some money?

Yes, I could have. Or asked for reparations which are paid as a percentage of income over a period of months.

The problem with asking for cash is that the nation has to have it - in this case Austria did not have enough to be worth asking for.

Hey Blue,
Can you play detailed battles in PBEM game? My gut says no, but I am asking anyway!

Nope, you can't. And the PBEM replay is broken, so you can't see the replay of the previous turn to see what happened on the strategic map. You just are just taken right to the beginning of your next turn.

Well, I have never played a PBEM game ever, but I have thought I would enjoy it. I guess I just need to look into. Love the AAR!

Hey ian (and anyone else who was following the AAR) - my opponent basically conceded, and I lost the saved games when I had to uninstall and then re-install the games. So unfortunately the AAR can't be continued. My apologies.
