Crown of Glory:Europe in the Age of Napoleon is a great game that successfully blends empire building and strategic battles. It has a depth that is rarely seen these days and once you're comfortable with how the game plays you'll be able to appreciate the game in all of its glory.

"Grogs will want it all, and Crown of Glory will not disappoint. It’s a sumptuous buffet of just about every important entrée needed to build a Napoleonic empire single-handedly. Players need only to unfold their gaming napkin and enjoy. Me, I fall midway between Grog and Mainstreamer, so playing this game was a real treat. Simply look past the subdued graphics and marvel at all the substance under your command. No, it isn’t flashy, but it is classy, and that’s a word found all too seldom in this hobby to be sure. Very well done."

I have put two months into this game for this review - this is not a game you will load up and be done with in a few hours. This is a solid, detailed and enjoyable game you will purchase and come back to for years in your collection of great titles.... This is a must own for the experienced war gamers collection.
