UV 2.30:

CVE Sangamon is listed with a capacity of 31 aircrafts.

When it arrived on the theatre, it had the following squadrons:

Now, 2 turns later, the SBD squadron has received 4 more planes (and sure enough, the squadron maximum capacity is 18):

Problem:

With 38 planes on board, I am over the 110% maximum limit to have my squadrons flyable. Does it means that my CVE is useless if I let it with its natural squadrons ?

I do the easy thing, I take the SBD squadron off and use it as a ground based unit.

In Witp, the CVE has the same capacity (31).
But it lists the air groups as VF-37 (18 planes) and VT-37 (18 planes).

It's still over 110% of its capacity

There are two CVEs that have 3 squadrons. No matter the patch, I've always had problems with the squadrons growing and then placing aircraft in reserve. I usually transfer all of them to land and put a f4f squadron on them.

These are more than likely replenishment CVEs....only problem is UV doesn't have that feature! (like WitP does)...

Yes, as stated above, these carriers with three squadrons will not fly combat missions. I found that out the hard way. Usually, I take them all off and place a 24 plane fighter squadron on them. This gives you useful cap to put up over and invasion force. Another option is to remove the fighters and then use the CVE to escort transports with the bombers set to ASW. Anyways, you got to do something as they will not work with the full three squadrons on board.
