I replenish my LCU by pulling them out of combat and put them for R&R in a base with plenty of supplies and in an temperate zone. it takes a while but the stuff get fixed/replaced.

Well, first you will have to PRODUCE the tanks in the homeland. Then, bring your unit to a base with sufficient supply (+20K) and support ( base should NOT be in a malaria hex). If you do this, the tanks should be replenisched...

Actually, tanks seem to replace better than squads in malaria hexes anyway. I'm advancing in Thailand in early 44 and I've got Indian infantry divisions down 30 % in eliminated squads and another 30% plus in disabled suads but the American proviisional tank battalions (although very fatigued) will, if you stick to the rail road and coastal hexes were you can offload supplies to them off barges, seemingly stay up about 95 - 100% afvs with only a small number disabled.

LCU's will replenish their equipment(TOE) at a friendly base or from a legal supply route. They will get additional chances to fill out their TOE from as many bases available with at least 20k supply within the legal supply of the LCU.

In this case it is probably because your Indian squad pool is empty while you have still tanks in the pool.

Japan also has a pool or vehicles, squads and so on. It is possible that in the case of the original poster, this pool is empty for tanks. Increase your vehicle production. Ground replacement are slower than air replacement and units most of the times only rise us of 1-2% in size each day.
