I have a few questions. What is the turn order? Do we need a password? Can we take someone out of the game (or skip there turn) if we dont hear from them for a couple of weeks to keep the game going?

we cannot replace a human player by a computer, so let's hope we will not have any defections. The turn order is the same as the one where you start a single player game, starting from the top. So france first, Britain second, and so on. You do not need a password (at least I haven't made one so if you do need a password we are in deep trouble!). I propose to castrate anyone who leaves without telling us.

The problem seems to be that I cannot save the file as the correct file type. I can only save it as an html.

Sorry to see you guys are having trouble getting your turn. I hope you got it figured out. Just in case you didn't here is what I did:

Detach the files from your email (you can place them anywhere on your pc and I did did desktop). Then load up the game and chose "Load PBEM" and then open the detached file from your email. Complete your turn then press the "End Turn" button. The game should inform you that it saved the files. Go to your email and attach the two files from the PBEM folder in your CoG directory.

Peever, I tried to do what you are describing, but it wasn't working. I think the ccbasin is right, the saves are not compatible with hotmail. I'll use my other e-mail to open them, unfortunatly I won't be able to do it until I get home from work. Sorry for the delay, but hopefully we'll get all the kinks out and this will go smoother in the future.

I forwarded the save to my other e-mail account. It is working fine, now I just have to play the turn, I shall have it along this evening.
It seems hotmail does not support PBEM.

I recieved the file but am unable to open it (my computer is not recognizing the file) . I have windows xp and comcast high speed internet for email. Any one have any recommondations. It is telling me that the file type is unknown so I dont know what program to look for to open it. It was sent to me via a hotmail address. Does that mean anything? Thanks.

there is a small problem with the turn matzo sent me. It still says "spa." at the end of the turn, and not "fra." as it should say. I am not sure you ended your turn correctly, matzo.
