While putting together a core for a new campaign as germany '39 (why do I always play that?) I discovered that I was unable to purchase 50mm mortars unless as part of a larger formation. I bought 81mm instead, but noticed that the crew on the battlefield is 10, rather than 5. Checking the oob shows a 5 for crew. Hacking the 50mm to be a 'mortar' (rather than 'light mortar') allows me to buy one and shows 4 crew but 8 crew arrive for the battle. Is this some sort of flex-time program with mortars and we just need to tell 1/2 of them to go home till the next battle? an unfortunate bug, as I wanted to attach these mortars and have them ride with the mg34s and at teams with the infantry formations in a direct fire support role. Maybe an interim hack will be to set the crew # to 2... (discovering the joys of OOB hacking) -Beetlecat
