My firearms experience is fairly limited (hunting rifle, pistol, shotgun), but I've love to fire one of these:

Well there's lots, but ... most especially: MG42, Vickers MG, .50cal Browning (especially a quad-mount ), and BAR and Bren gun!

MG34 for me.

In DoD, it was my favorite. Would love to shoot one for real. Would love to fire the .30 machinegun too.

You have to wear a special uniform of some type for that weapon, no? Say a particular color, or combination of colors?

Alby, I owned a Rickenbacker for a time in the late '70s -- while sounding nice, it was very uncomfortable. The neck was very heavy and after a month the finish started to wear off (it was white, with a pink undercoat!)

After a year or so, I got rid of it.

My firearms experience is fairly limited (hunting rifle, pistol, shotgun), but I've love to fire one of these:

The early 37mm Field Gun that uses the shotgun-type shell. The one used on the Canal by the Marines.

Recon
Semper Fi

Ooh, the canister rounds -- yes, these helped rip apart the Ichiki force at the Tenaru.

The magical Mannlicher- Carcano Carbine (ala Klein sporting goods of Chicago).
Bolt action, not as efficient as other models, short barrel, clumsy throw action when auto-loads were available,by a guy who (contrary to reports) was NOT an "expert" at the range.................

Just keeping it going folks............

You only fired it once, just ONCE? I feel there is a good story behind this.

I have fired the Suomi SMG and the "Spitz". SUomi SMG was remarkably stable on autofire! (I fired a 30 round clip, not the 70 round drumclip)

The Spitz was sturdy, I found it quite hard to reload, but yes, I liked the bolt lock.

I'd like to fire a mounted minigun

Hmmm, firing any of those mentioned would be great, 'qualifying' would be even better.

Ahh, who am I kidding: this morning when I got up and peed I was just glad I didn't get any on the seat.
