Trolling for American carriers has paid little dividends at this time. One carrier the Saratoga was found and is now a home for the little fishes. Surface combat force at Moresby was not able to catch transports so it settled for a non-moving target. Forces are almost together for the continuation of expansion plans in the DEI.

Baby KB is just recon to see what is moving around. Some targets have been found but nothing major.

On the Chinese front progress is still being made and pressure will continue.

So are you at work, or are you home and if so, does this mean that the turn is coming?

It is a little quiet and not much going on except in the DEI. Now that the rice, bullets, and other equipment needed to continue the expansion has been gathered. I am sure things will be getting back to normal soon.

The island of Sumatra is the next target of Halsey-san's greedy eyes. Japanese forces land in Bahka in the North (As the map depicts) side of the island. Why is he landing there is beyond me; there is a rai connection to the tip of the island, but only a trail leading to Palenbang. He probably wants to control both sides of the Malacca straits. There is also a transport TF heading to Lae it seems. Not much I can do about that. It is hard enough to try and keep the transports away from the betties at Canton Is.

Some successes: The PT boats that had been stationed at Tarakan were effective, however they cannot impede the invasion. In any case, the APDs that they torpedoed will be sorely missed by Halsey-san
Also army Dauntlesses from PM score some hits on the Lae invasion fleet.
On the down side, baby KB is doing it's thing near Suva.
The allied carrier forces cannot sortie due to fuel shortages
This is all a big mess

I have no problem with the troops at Lae withdrawing. They in fact had been ordered to get the hell out of Dodge.BUT TOWARDS PM! Why did they had to withdraw towards Findschafen or what's it's name? How stupid can you be!

Over the past three nights, Dutch torpedo boats in Tarakan, Borneo, have attacked and eventually repelled a much superior Japanese invasion force. After suffering the loss of at least 3 of their destroyer transport the enemy force has withdrawn from the area.
This small, but important, victory has steeled the hearts of all allied soldiers, sailors and piolets in the ABDA area.

You've got to hand it to the Dutch MTB boys! I have been debating wether to withdraw them for a couple of them, but they keep hitting (and hard) the enemy. These guys are in line for a medal.

If the LCUs had a minimum of logic, they would try to withdraw to places that a) Can be supplied, b)May be rescue from and c) may actually have some supplies at. These guys just withdraw to the top of a mountain, instead of going along the beautiful railroad that the Dutch built for them!
I am not going to try to rescue them. They deserve to spend out the rest of the war in a Japanese POW camp

I see you dogeaters on Mindanao are giving Bill fits as well. I don't think mine will last near as long as yours though. Our game in 22 Jan/42 and basically only hold Cagayan. Singapore is strong and I still hold 50% of Luzon.
