F-10 (Recon B-25)

I'm not too sure on specific colours, the only pics I found were B&W. Does anyone know where I can get a pic of an F-7 in it's original blue scheme?

The recon aircraft where not always blue, it depended on time period of the war. Early in the war maybe but by the end of the war rarely. And if I remember right they ditched the red and white tail colors by late war also

According to the stuff I found the F-7's were in blue for only 3-4 months before they stripped the paint. I found a lot of b/w pics on this page http://pws.prserv.net/varney/20cms/index.htm

This is the pic I based my artwork on. Okinawa 20 Sept 1945

I'm still hoping JWE or someone will do the civilian tankers.

A few weeks ago i try to do it and cannot find any picture (of quality) of civilian tankers.
If someone can send me o put here a picture....

Anyway i think the art ship side will be very similary to US AO.

CobraAus or any inspiring WITP artist,
This is a pretty tall order to ask, but I was wondering if someone could make some shills and pics of the French Navy, facing as with the Jap ships. I've always wanted to do a SuperJapan mod and have been seriously tinkering with adding several ships from the Vichy French Navy to the Japanese navy.

the main classes I'd like to have are:
CV Bearn
CV Joffre (semi-fict)
BB Dunkerque
CA Suffren
(I already have Algerie)
CL Galissonniere
(La Fantasque & L'Adroit are in the game)
DL Vauquelin
DD Le Hardi and/or DD Bourrasque

and if you just love it and can't stop -
ML? Bouganville
BB Bretagne
AMC Generic, flying French colors
AK Generic, flying French colors
and any of the other CA, CL, DL, DDs you may want. (or anything else for that matter)
bs

ps. I feel pretentious as hell asking someone to do around a dozen drawing for free. Not pretentious enough to offer money, though.

How's this? The .bmp image is a little crisper than this JPEG. BMP images tend to distort a little when you save them to JPEG images so they can be posted in the forum. I can PM you with the .bmp for the game if you like.

Ah-ha Now I see why I never got a reply. I guess you gotta post a pic. I'll have to dig up some pics, but first off I could use the Dewoitine D.520. And top art, if possible (I don't have a pic for that)

Here are the tops I did. I haven't checked them out in-game yet so they may need a little tweaking. Good luck with them if you decide to use them.

these planes already exist in the allied files, I just need tops and sides done with French markings, facing as Japanese planes.  (I tried to draw one myself.  Yuk!  Planes apparently are a little harder than ships)

Martlet
DB-7B-3 (A-20)
Vought V-156F (SB2U Vindicator)

These are my attempts at ships. Dixie told me how to go about transfering these to the cloudy background, but I'm so busy with the modding, I'd rather leave the art to those more talented in that field. Speaking of which, if someone wants to touch these up, be my guest. I'm not particularly proud of any of them.

btw, these are the ships depicted:
First row, Top to bottom, these are Commandant Test, Bearn, Le Hardi Class DD, Dunkerque Class BC

second row, Suffren class CA (they look almost identical to Algerie class, so I just slightly altered Cobraus' Algerie; that's why it looks better)

and, since I'm already flooding the thread with requests I might as well throw in one of the dozens of ships I still need - La Galissonniere Class CL. (It's simliar in size and gun layout to the Japanese Agano, if that's any help)

Hi Big B, one more itsy bitsy request for the Japanese when you get a chance, then I'll definitely be finished with the IJN (I plan on adding a few DDs also but they will be based on existing game designs).

I'd like to add two or three CLAAs to their building queue based on this model. I think it would have made a lot of sense for the IJN to incorporate a few of these in their fleet later on in the war. It'll fill up the queue with a lot of extra ships so whoever is playing the Japanese will definitely have to play around a bit halting/accelerating various ships to get the ones he deems most important.

Many thanks!

Gary

That is a nice looking ship, what type of stats did you give it the database for your mod? I am very curious about the gun caliber on all of those turrents, a DP weapon I presume?
