Well did anyone here go to their town's veretan's day parade?

In our town of 28,000 we had an F-16 do a flyover. plus we had a P-51 and a B-25 do regular strafings...err..i mean flyover!

It was a good parade. It was the first time I have ever seen a P-51 or B-25 flying(age 26) so it was pretty special for me.

This was many years ago, but when I was in the high school marching band, on Veteran's Day our town did a thing, adding a Veteran's Memorial to the town cemetery, which had bricks engraved with all the townspeople that had been in the military or in a war. I remember some guy read the Flander's Fields poem, and then we played the national anthem. As we did, a B-25 and a P-51D did a very beautiful flyover. It was incredible. The guy flying the B-25 handled it as smooth and as responsive as a fighter. Very very moving.
