In a year of great announcements, Matrix Games adds another deal to its already astonishing set for 2013. This time it’s wargames specialist Fury Software, developer of Strategic Command to join the biggest community of strategy gamers in the world.
“We keep pushing boundaries”. Said JD McNeil, Chairman of Slitherine. “After announcing major deals with Ageod, Buzz Aldrin and Games Workshop, this is yet another great testament to our continued drive to give our community the most complete offering of strategy and wargames. This is a special one though. There is nothing thing like seeing a developer such as Fury Software join our list of partners, because it’s evidence of the incredible amount of goodwill and brand equity we have developed over the last three years”.
Signing with Fury Software starts a collaboration which will lead to the release of Strategic Command 3 in the Matrix Games and Slitherine stores in 2014.
“The Strategic Command brand is healthy as it could possibly be”, said Huber Cater, Managing Director of Fury Software. “When we started it 15 years ago, we had hopes to create something that would stand test of time. After so many years we are glad we can bring the franchise to the next level, with this exciting new partnership”.
The Strategic Command brand gained its fame thanks to a flexible game engine, its multiple scenarios and campaigns (adding also those created by the modders community), and key features like diplomatic repercussions of events, research and technology, convoy systems and more.
