Yesterday we saw the release of To End All Wars. This grand strategy game focuses on The Great War and lets you take control over one of the major alliances of the era to settle the disputes of the great powers for once and for all.
Directly after the game was made available we received our first orders by fans who had waited a long time to get their hands on the game. Many of those have managed to play the game for a number of hours now and have posted some of their first impressions and today we would like to share some of them with you.
H Gilmer: “of all the Athena titles, I'm enjoying this one the most. I can see myself playing this one a hell of a lot. I have no idea if it is historical or what not, but I'm having fun. I am not getting as frustrated as I have with earlier titles. Still they were fun, but this one is keeping me more attentive.”
Searry: “The game is massive! Most of the decisions you make can affect you a lot. So careful play is important. I'm playing on AI bonuses and otherwise hard settings. Very nice job by ageod!”
Swotoro: “I had a ball in beta. The game plays VERY differently depending on which "side" you select (Entente/Allies, Central Powers, Eastern Entente/Russia). One of my first items to watch for was the variations of front warfare experienced in this war (static/trench in West, fluctuating front in East for instance). The game does a great job of creating these warfare forms. That's why it plays so differently depending on the alliance you select.”
Ostwindflak: “I think this is a spectacular game! (albeit a few spelling and grammatical errors sprinkled throughout some in game text) Playing as the CP, my crowning moment last night was stomping a mud hole in the Russian armies arses in Eastern Prussia. I inflicted 51,000 casualties in one battle against them using the crossfire battle plan. Love this game already! Thank you Ageod, this is a must own kind of game!!”
