Matrix Games and Dan Verssen Games (www.dvg.com) are pleased to announce that a new update for Hornet Leader PC is now available. The first update for this popular turn-based tactical air combat simulator will bring a few display improvements in addition to a difficulty tweak or two. There is also a new feature which adds the ability to view loadouts/stats for individual pilots on the Initial Placement Screen.
David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said “Thanks to great community feedback and plenty of hard work from Storm Cloud Creations and Dan Verssen Games, this latest update will quickly reinforce the successful release of Hornet Leader PC.”
Dan Verssen of Dan Verssen Games also added, “Matrix Games has been great to work with to not only launch the PC version of my popular air combat game, but also to help us support the game with improvements and additions in this latest update. Thanks so much to all the community members who fell in love with this game and gave us the valuable feedback to make this update the great addition to Hornet Leader PC that it is.”
In Hornet Leader PC, you command a squadron of the U.S. Navy’s elite F/A-18 Hornet Strike Fighters! You select the pilots and arm the aircraft based on real-world mission briefings. Once you reach your objective, you evaluate threats, and do what needs to be done to destroy the target!
Each pilot has his own set of unique skills and abilities. With each mission, a pilot’s skills increase, but so does his fatigue level. You must decide how hard to push your men as one of the many decisions that go into every mission. You will fly high intensity missions over Iraq, Libya, and North Korea from 1991 to 2007. Your weapon selection for each campaign is updated to accurately match the weapons available for that era.
We’ll see you in the pilots’ briefing room!
This update will bring the version of the game up to 1.1 and is comprehensive.
