Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is now available on PC and Mac!
Developer Black Lab Games focused on designing a unique sci-fi game with deep tactical mechanisms. Thanks to the simultaneous turn-based approach, not only do players have the time to think about their next moves, primary targets, and fleet positioning on the battlefield, but they also have the excitement to see the result of their choices during intense real-time sequences.
Human and Nautilid factions have very different assetsand superior firepower will not be enough to seize decisive victory when the enemy benefits from more units and better positions. So daredevil commanders will have to keep a cool head if they want to see the end of the war…

Pandora: First Contact has been updated to Version 1.6.0!
This large free update tremendously improves the AI, overhauls espionage and rebalances diplomacy. Thanks go to community member Alexander Stumpp's hard work for making it possible. The update also adds the long-awaited French translation, thanks to Steve Torres. The AI will now play a lot more like the best human players play the game: expand slower, dynamically improve tiles, adjust the tax-rate, handle resource emergency situations, prioritize refitting, perform flanking and out-of-sight maneuvers, build more diverse units, effectively use artillery and much more.
To address the repetitive nature of the espionage mechanic, success chance for missions can no longer reach 100% and agents can now lose health even if they complete a mission successfully. To combat exploitative behavior when factions have cities close to eachother, agents now lose all their movement points when entering another faction's territory.

It’s time to see what the Naval Strike Group 7 has in store to face the Nautilid threat!
All of the human military spacecrafts have shields on 6 different segments that receive individual damage. Also there is a specific setup for every single alien unit. As a consequence, attacking from top rear or left front, for instance, will have totally different results depending on the target and weapons selected.

What defines complexity, after all? Does a game for experts need to be hard to play? Over the years there has definitely been a race to add more details to the games. Abstraction has become an design target few wargames developers are willing to pursue, because it breaks the rule of historical accuracy, but is the real thing fun to play?

This year’s Home of Wargamers (#HoW15) is approaching.
The dates are now officially fixed for June 23rd to June 25th and the event is being held at Vittorio Veneto, CastelBrando, a town full of heritage and history between Venezia and Treviso.
The first and most important news is that this year’s event will be solely open to our development partners: we have decided to organize a developer’s conference, rather than a press conference, so that we could really focus on the future of wargaming and strategy gaming.
We will have keynote speeches to talk about game engines, business cases, game play issues, sales channels, price positioning and many other topics to create a true debate about where the wargaming and strategy gaming markets are going, and what we should all do to drive change.
You, as players, are all invited and you will have a chance to take part to the event through live streams, ask anything on Twitter and through the forums. So stay tuned and watch out for further information!
