For the past 2 years or so I have been desperately looking for a way out of thr legal industry and to starting my own business

My first idea was a specialist evening courier network which would cater for the fact that most people are not in when the ups man comes round etc...but after reading probably too much into the subject I thought I should start with something I enjoy. That led me to either history, or computers.

The help I need from you guys is as follows: iv spotted a potential gap in the market for a military history e- shop, selling books, DVDs and games. The sites out there at the moment are very amateur and difficult to search easily, do I think a slick, specialist site could carve a niche. Amazon etc obviously dO sell this stuff, but I feel a dedicated site would entice folk.

Firstly what do people think? And secondly does anyone know of a way to 'drop ship' books so that a huge inventory isn't needed straight away?

Many thanks!

Nick

One of my friends tried to run a 'drop ship' business for around nine months. She found that she was working around 60 hours a week for next to nothing.

I don't know what she was selling exactly. I think it was a wide range of things - on ebay and elsewhere. It was the supplier who provided the merchandise that made most of the profit. My friend had high hopes of her drop shipping business, but she became very disillusioned - and felt ripped off.
