Score: 90% Close Combat: Gateway to Caen is an involving, engaging and enjoyable game, just like all the other versions of Close Combat. Newcomers to the series will find it a good starting point and old grognards should find enough new features and units for the game to be a worthy addition to their game collection.

8,5/10 - If you try Close Combat: Gateway to Caen and look for more than just graphics, you will find a very interesting strategy game that have many features that even more modern games don't. As this is the last Close Combat game with the classic engine, I can say that Gateway to Caen end this era with golden keys.
