Well as I get time I am going to try to update the scenario to 1.205. Any suggestions to make this very extensive process easier would be appreciated:-) Or if someone has already done let me know please.

If you want Mike I can update it for you. Can't say when I'd have it done, a week or so likely.

I can also 'slip in' some 1.3 changes, so it won't have to be completely updated again later.

The next step would be to include GPW into official scenario list

Tanker, could you lift the fog over 1.3?

Dunno about making it official... if my grandiose cunning plan (sorry, BlackAdder Euphemism) comes to light I'll be hard pressed for official slots.

As to 1.3, I'll see if I can post screens this week. Still plowing through new ship graphics and redoing the old.

Tanker that would be a huge help! I will email you a copy of the most recent version! I am going to be out of pocket for a while longer so if it takes you awhile to do that should not be a problem.

Let me know what you think once you have had a chance to take a look. By the way I like the new screen shots of 1.3!

How hard/easy is it to convert this also to a single player game? I don't do much in the way of PBEM anymore. This looks like a fun one to play although it's PBEM/Hot seat.

One of the GPW features is introduction of mid-ocean supply bases for Japan. Obviously AI knows nothing about it. It would require to rewrite AI code, which is not possible, or at least remove these these extra bases and have all the GPW-favour vanished.

Imho, PBEM is the only way to have full scale fun in WPO...

BTW, Tankerace, any hope to see GPW converted to 1.205(1.3) soon?

Well that answers that! I used to play Pacific War PBEM years ago but have never finished the game, my opponent bailed out for medical reasons I think. I never really played anymore PBEM after that. Other things going on and all that. Evebtually I would like to start up again soon.

Are there any other single player scenarios out there other than what came with the game? I'd like to play some of them a bit before jumping back onto the PBEM wagon.

Just thought of something, could GPW be played as IJN/Human and Allied/Computer?

Can do that, but don't expect Allied AI will attack all your new supply lines. Even in stock scenarios Ai is quite passive.

Great! I'll try it then. Is it possible for me to go in and tweak the Allied AI any using the scenario editor? I've never used it before, might be good experience to experiment with.

You can do whatever you want with the editor. Tweak away, but save a copy first...

I'd like to shoot for sometime in the next week or two. Been kinda busy with school at the moment. It seems they actually expect me to work for a degree now that I'm a senior...

No ETA as of yet, but I'd like to try and have it done by then. As to 1.3.... most of it is in place, but as always doing a ton of new profiles is the main bottleneck right now.

Will do. Hopefully it will work.

Sorry, no updates yet. To help get in to grad school next year I've been taking on a few additional research projects, so I've had to devote most of my time to that. Since 1.3 is not a bug fix patch, but in essence a "free addon", I've been forced to work on it in my spare time. The OOB stuff is 98% there, the main holdup is the art. I've gone and added so much OOB wise that I'm having to play catchup in the graphics dept.
I'll try for a late October release for 1.205 update of GPW, but I wouldn't look for the 1.3 patch until November-December.
I'll see if maybe I can knock out GPW this weekend or next. No promises though. It might be a bit skimpier than what I was originally going to do, I may just port the Device and Class list over and update the ships, and leave it with no 1.3 enhancements. That would get it out quicker, and wouldn't need to wait for the 1.3 art.
