Okay, I did my first turn as Japan against Wargmr,
I ended up with 6 pages of notes. Is that a lot? Or does only six pages show that I am doomed to defeat? My wife saw the notes and said this was the worst handwriting she had ever seen, and why did I keep writing HA-x repeatedly?

I emerged from my man cave around 9.00pm last night blearly eyed and feverish. Andrea sat me on the couch, gave me an adult beverage and turned on kids cartoons, which is all my brain could handle.

This morning Wargmr emails me and says "So, did you put in the beta patch?"
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I downloaded it but forgot to install. Will this work if he runs it with the beta and I have now installed it? Or should I start again?

Allies, DDB-C scen 28.

I have a detalied checklist for the first turn. 31-page Word document. Times New Roman, 10-point font size.

LOVE the game, HATE the first turn.

But then he can go through the 1st turn twice as fast, and correct many initial mistakes at the same time! That's great news

To be honest, I don't think it makes any difference. The exe difference should only kick in when you actually run the turn.

I would give it a try.

I have started at least 3 pbem with very minimal first turns as Japan. Less than 1/2 hour devoted to them. It is a long game, and really there is only a few things you need to change if you plan on no Mersing and fairly standard Pearl attack.

Heresy! By thought and by deed.

I spent maybe 10-12 hours working on the first turn, I hope this works.

Aaaahh. Kid's Cartoons. Who is this marvelous Andrea woman and where can I find one like her?

I'm pretty sure I put in a week of evenings in my first attempt at Japan. Finally one incredible day you push a button and watch it all go. And then suddenly remember that one critical thing you forgot to do.

I can do the 1st turn in about 2 hours but that is with TEN years of practice (with many trials and tribulations).

It SHOULD be OK to attach the Beta and then run Turn One.

Awesome! And the thing about "that one little detail", spot on!

Could be if I could ever find the time. The game turns are so long as it is. But courtesy of the Red Dwarf theme song I know what the title of such an AAR would be... Fun, fun, fun, .....in the sun, sun, sun. Cheers.

No biggie if you forget somethings. Just don't forget too much.
