im playing the GJS mod in LSA.
I have read the manual but still am stumped.
heres the scenario im seeing.....

were fighting in Bayeux. we both have BG's ....allied and german in Bayeux.
the allies have two BG's in bayeaux.
the germans in Bayeux hold the rauray, thoan, and cruelly VL's.
the allies hold the lingereve VL and the tilly VL and the other VL's on the beach side of Bayeux.
the germans have a BG in tilly.

so..the germans have a recon BG in tilly and move into Bayeux.
the allies have an inf BG in bayeux and use the tilly VL in bayuex that they hold to move to tilly...leaving 1 allied BG in bayeux.

my understanding of the manual for LSA is that the faster BG...the german recon... will block / move faster than the allied inf BG that is moving out of bayeaux and the german recon will move into Bayeux.

what happened was they passed each other on the same road and waved as they passed. the allied inf BG entered tilly and the german recon entered Bayeux as the secondary german BG there.

my question is this ....is that supposed to happen?
the manual does not say this can happen. the faster BG is supposed to enter the said map 1st and stop the slower BG from moving out.

Steve?

The BGs passing thru each other bug was mentioned in the GJS4 pdf I also encountered it in
LSA beta testing. If I had to guess I'd say it was related to the randomized order in which strat moves are executed. In some cases this 'feature' can be rationalized though. IRL there wasnt a 'tunnel' connecting map areas. However Route D6 is the direct and logical path between Bayeuz and Tilly. Hard to imagine both BGs choosing to avoid this path of advance and not meeting somewhere in between.

Also note: BG's passing through each other doesn't always happen. Previous times (at different locations) when a simultaneous move occurs, one BG is restricted in movement while an opposing BG gets to move. Perhaps it is specific to this map connection? It certainly adds an extra element of excitement to the already crazy events underway at Bayeux :)

If two opposing BGs move or attack head-on using the same map connection, the faster one should interrupt the slower one, yes.

However, the execution order does get complicated in LSA with stacked BGs and the possibility of multiple connections between the same two maps. So without loading the mod and looking at all the data, I can't say for certain what's happening in your case. If you can show a case where this happens in the stock game I can certainly make a bug report for it -- should be something you can set up in the scenario editor fairly quickly.
