My wife an I had our Honeymoon on Maui, just north of Lahaina. We come back as often as we can.

A couple of games and a decade or so ago, the SS Lahaina was torpedoed near Pearl Harbor. I voiced by sadness over this incident telling my wife all about what the Lahaina was doing in the war and how she sank. A month later, I opened a Christmas gift from my wife and found out we were going to Maui in a couple of months. WITP-AE in life.

My latest game is in early January of 1945. I-43 just torpedoed the SS Lahaina. Just a few moments ago, she sank west of Manila Bay running supplies to the the Chinese forces at Pakhoi.

As this turn was running, I was sitting about 4 miles north of Lahaina.

Maybe I should mention this disaster to my wife?

If you are back on your next honeymoon you should not tell your wife you are playing the game!

My wife does love this game.

I never come home reeking of booze and perfume. If I talk about Dababes, she knows I am not talking about women. If I mention Margaret Fuller, it's about a Liberty ship.

This reminds me of someone else....They said when their wife hears the "ding-ding" at the load, she knows he's home and safe....

My daughter used to say that I played "Ding-Ding". Now she is old enough to read about WWII and watch Tora Tora Tora. I will not show her TMTSNBN.
