Top Ten Reasons Why The Pilot Bombed Friendly Units

#10 I couldn't find the bad guys and the other pilots tease you if you bring the bombs back.

#9 Hey, those other guys were shooting at me!

#8 I thought that button was for the windshield washers

#7 The flight surgeon won't let me fly with my glasses on

#6 That tank crew welched on their poker debts

#5 The top hatch on that tank looked just like a bullseye

#4 I'm Italian, I forgot what side I was on!

#3 You all look like ants from up there

#2 Couldn't hear the FO over the sound of the explosions

And the #1 reason your own troops got bombed...

Hey, that cammo really works! Never saw you guys!

I think next week I'm going to try something a little different with the Top Ten list. I'm going to supply the title, and the ten possible answers, but in the form of a poll that you all get to vote on, ranking the answers by your votes! The answer with the most votes will be the #1 answer, etc, etc.

Sound good?

Okay, since the only replies I've gotten about making the Top Ten list a poll have been positive I think I'll go ahead with it.

What I'm thinking of is posting the poll on Wednesday and keeping it open until noon on Saturday, giving everyone time to vote.

Sound good?

Never tried it myself either, so it'll be a learning experience. :)

I'll see what I can do for you Chief. However, I'm having monitor problems on my regular computer so I've hijacked another one on our network here. I might be a little slow getting the reports done since I have to wait to use this 'puter.

If he isn't able, I will try. We should post them on the 'opponents wanted' sub forum though (thats what its description says). Eh, Bernie?

Goblin- A Goblin is informative.

That's how I read it, however I did note a post by Paul saying when he created the subs that he didn't move AAR's there because he felt they belonged here where they get maximum exposure.

(And where the winners and losers get maximum gloating and humiliation, respectivly...heheh)

Just to keep anyone following the thread up to date, Goblin has agreed to June of '44, USA vs German (he's USA), C&C off, true troop on, rarity off, limited ammo off (this is going to be a bloodbath), nat chars on, weapon and vehicle breakdowns on, and we've reached a gentlemans agreement to limit our arty to "reasonable" levels. I've also agreed to forgo my beloved wurfrahmen and we're doing without strike elements. Should be an interesting battle depending on terrain and visibility. I'm a bit surprised he chose USA and not German, since he likes the big cats so much, but I can deal with it. I plan to teach him the uses of some of the less well known German units.

I actually enjoy getting Jess all riled up more than I enjoy the Heavy Metal. I love infantry combat myself. To continue, see Opponents wanted for updates. I'm starting a thread there now.
