Trying to load up a save 1.00.07 and I keep crashing to desktop. There's a hole in my bucket!

Hi.
Same problem here.
I installed the update, now the game goes dead in the air phase or early in the movement phase.Crashes to desktop.
I uninstalled and downloaded the game again.Tried to run it with or without the update...but now i got the same problem now matter what i do

Sorry to hear about your problems. I'd suggest uninstalling, and then reinstalling and updating all the way to 1.00.11. Have you tried that?

Yep it�s getting really desperate over here in Denmark.
Tried everything new fresh installation(tried that abut 6 times) with 1.00.11. update, without it or the new beta version.
Closed all backround programms like Nividia overlay.All drivers are up to date.Tried tinkerink with the DPI settings,
I didnt have a problem at all up to 3 days ago.Now the game starts fine, but when the AI starts calculating it crashes to the desktop, no error message at all.Normally in 10 sec. into the airphase or
if i cancel all missions and make it to the movement phase i crashes after 3 attacks.

Guess nobody has an answer to my problem.
Is it now i am going back to wite 1 or playing another game, because this game keeps crashing on me

Maybe a link to an older version or the original release.The game worked for me at the start.What else can i try

Sorry about your ongoing problems. When the game crashes to desktop, it should generate a crash dump file. Can you check if you have a crash dump file named like WarInTheEast2.exe.<number>.dmp in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps . It's also best if you can get it to crash from loading in a save (or loading a scenario and doing just a few steps, like deleting all ADs and then running the air phase), please do that and then provide the dump file generated and the save or info for what you did in game so we can try to recreate it.

Please zip up and attach the dump file and the save if there is one and attach it here, or email it to 2by3@2by3games.com. Also, please describe at what point it crashed for you in the game. Having the dxdiag and the crash dump (with save or steps to repeat) will hopefully give us a chance to figure out what's going wrong in your case. Thanks.

Thanks. Two other things to try while we wait for Pavel to review the Crash Dump. Feel free to wait on these until you hear back from Pavel if you prefer.

1. Have you tried completely disabling your integrated motherboard video card - not the dedicated nVidia video card, but the Intel one (this is often possible via the BIOS, if you are comfortable with that) to see if that makes any difference? Your DxDiag shows both are currently active.
2. Have you tried changing your language to English in all respects just to see if that makes any difference in allowing execution to complete?

Thanks for the crash dump. Can you tell us what point the game was at when it crashed and generated that crash dump (on scenario load, in the air execution phase, during a ground combat, etc.)?

Finally

Good news from the eastern front

I did take Eriks advice

and disabled the integrated motherboard video card in the device manager.
Now only running on my smooth RTX 3070

and no more crashes(well i am keep crashing the communists of course)

Great news. Big thanks to Erik for his suggestion. I'm putting this on the list to ask if there's anything we can/should do on our end to deal with this from the program side. I've got your dxdiag and crash dump files for when this gets discussed. Really glad you're able to play the game.
