In a PBEM game I have as USA, one of my F4F-4 squadrons is messed up. In the screen where you set the mission, the only missions listed are Sweep and Long Range CAP. No escort mission. What gives? The squadron arrived as a land reinforcement if I remember right. I can give more information when I get my next turn if anyone needs it. Is this normal, or is the aircrew just afraid of flying over water, or what?

Check and see if they are set to night flying

I bet that's it, thanks Zeta. I had them up for your Betty night raids. My guys need some sleep!

Have you ever heard of a P-39D squadron or PBY squadron filling up with too many pilots? A P-39 squad of mine has 24 planes and around 54 pilots

. A PBY has 12 planes or so and around 24 pilots. All the while, I have a P-39 squad with 24 planes and only 11 pilots.

Yeah, every time I have played as the allies I have this problem. In playing with the Japanese I have this problem with float planes. one group with 1 plane and 9 pilots. Sucks since two pilots are in 70-8o range and the others are 20-30. Guess who flys and loses the plane and thus my good pilots have no planes.
