It is so fun to play this game. Yesterday I set up some firebases clustered around ammo trucks to give me some serious artillary support while infantry assaults hills and defends against armored counterattacks. Thought I picked a nice spot out of the fray...So what does the AI do? Sends some infiltrators against them ! Of course the nearest defenders were about 3 turns away . Those howitzer and mortar teams were on their own against GE Special Forces. Real touch and go! The ammo truck drivers were firing pistols at them while the artillary used direct fire and annihilated each others crews. Totally upset my carefully planned timetable and left my attack without artillary and smoke during a crucial phase. Nothing could have been worse! God, I love this game!

I've seen the AI make some brilliant, unexpected attacks. Despite all the knocks you see here, sometimes the AI shows its 'I'.

Been lovin' it nearly seven years since late 1994 when I say it in beta version as plain old SP! My wife says I love it more than her, but then says she's just kidding. I wonder Love it like a pair of good broke-in shoes. Love it so much I lose sleep, eat a cold supper and rush out the door late for work. Gotta love this game and the miles it has traveled to get where it is! Thank you Matrix. Thank you Michael Wood. Thank you designers, testers, and faitfhful supporters! More like every once in a while the AI shows forth some random luck.. like one of its rigid algorithms was kicked in by chance in an *appropriate* situation for a change.. But it is truly a great game, nonetheless! Can't argue there! I am really waiting for Close Assault tho, currently I have trouble standing the game as it is.. Matt
