fighter command the battle of britain (1986?) for the apple 2e/c. That was my favorite also along with Guadalcanal Campaign. I nearly went broke playing SSI games on the Apple IIe. I only lived about 3 miles from SSI in Mt. View in the 80's. Bought every one of their games at $59.95 a pop (War in Russia was $79.95 and that was in 1985 dollars!). Even play tested 2 games: Rings of Zelfin and Six-Gun Shootout... both sucked. Another favorite was TacOps for the Mac. Almost forgot, NFL Challenge in the late 80's. Real Xs and Os moving across the computer screen!!! Every NFL player detailed in 5 stats! Woo Hoo! I actually bought an Epson Equity I PC with an Intel 8086 chip just so I could play football on the computer! Dual 360k drives, 256k of memory, and (IIRC) a whopping 8mhz clock speed! (I know the thread is about wargames but NFL Challenge really had me excited back then!) Chez
