But that is precisely the point, TexHorns. Since gold and textiles are the most critical economic elements of the game, the arbitrary ceilings set on their stockpiles means you will never have enough of what you need most, even if you are an economic genious. My problem is not that I cannot manage my economy. My problem is that I am penalized for managing it well. The game *will* impose its limitations, no matter what I do. This is not to my taste. The difficulty, I think, is that I have been approaching this game as a 4x style of game, rather than as an historical simulation.:) The limitations are, arguably, more realistic than otherwise, and probably were even more realistic in their original form.:) So the devs have probably accomplished their intent. I imagine, therefore, that what I am looking for is a different intent, and perhaps the devs might consider a setting for the game that allows these limitations to be disabled. -- Mal
