whilst waiting for Andrews a I am mucking about with some WHAT IF 1946 to 52 aircraft
for What IF Mods any requests ??

Cobra Aus

PS if you know your aircraft you will be able to ID these

Pretty sure that first one is a Hawker (Sea) Fury. The third one is an Avro Canada CF-100, and the fourth looks like a (Sea) Vampire.

Cobra, I have few-
an F-86 Sabre(in Korean War livery - yellow recognition stripes), an F9F Cougar, and a Mig 15...

If your in the mood to do them..

B

EDIT: Gee, '46 to '52 opens a huge can of worms...I could request all kind of aircraft - but I won't burden you with them.

correct for the CF-100
one is not a sea fury I think this one first flight 1946 derived from Mustang model
it is a vampire but not Sea its a DH-100

Having added C-54 A - there is nothing quite like it except the G5N -
and that is in the wrong national markings! Can any one do a DC-4/C-54 in USAAF and USN markings?

Hey, Cobra. If your computer hasn't completely melted in the heat, could you do me a shipside based on this photo of a "never were" Dutch battlecruiser?

CG-4A (medium) and CG-13A (heavy) US transport gliders.

It appears the CG-13 was not used in the Pacific. See Glider Forces of the World.

K Series and M Series. I have photographs if required.

These appear to need ship art. Doing these aircraft as ships has several impacts:

1) It permits flights of more than 24 hours duration.
2) Their ship like speeds permit them to both detect and be detected more appropriately in this model.
3) They can be armed with ship like weapons (e.g. depth charges) and radars.
4) They can (if unlucky) participate in naval battles - which is not a good thing from the point of view of an airship. But they are really much easier to hit than typical aircraft - being so large and slow and impossible to jink.

This was the main Pacific Theater USAAF heavy transport for missions over the hump - being a plane with turbosupercharged engines.

I can send some if you want it - but we do not appear to need it at this time for WITP - apparently only the CG-4A was sent to the theater.
