Speedy, what do you mean supply will actually increase if I retreat to Chunking? My opponent has worked hard at reducing my supply in China. He has engaged me at all fronts and bombards and attacks as much as possible. I think his strategy is to break China by eliminating supply. I think he has invaded India with the primary purpose of taking all bases within supply transport range of China. The next few months may push things to a breaking point there.

Can't say too much online. Opponents viewing . I'll PM you.

All i'll say here is that I personally think its gamey if the Japanese player bombs all the resources and industry in Chins to starve it. Would just not happen or be a potential reality in RL.

As I say China can be held despite the 'rail bases' being taken provided your units retreat in good order. Once routed they will struggle to hold their own.......

True Australian Ghost Story

This story happened a while ago in Brisbane, and even though it
sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true.

John Bradford, a Sydney University student, was on the side of the road
hitch hiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a storm. The night
was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly
see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards
him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and
without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door, just to
realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on!

The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road and saw a curve
approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just
before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the
wheel. John, paralysed with terror, watched how the hand appeared every
time they came to a curve. John saw the lights of a pub down the road so,
gathering strength, jumped out of the car and ran to it. Wet and out of
breath, he rushed inside and asked for two shots of tequila. He then
started telling everybody about the horrible
experience he went through.

A silence enveloped everybody when they realized he was crying
and....wasn't drunk.

About 15 minutes later, two guys walked into the same pub. They were also
wet and out of breath. Looking around and seeing John Bradford sobbing at
the bar, one said to the other, "Look, Bruce.. here's the Fcuking idiot
that got in the car while we were pushing it."

Poor RUPD3658 - he had been trying hard the past few times, and i did this one in honor of him (and his coyote avatar...)

Anyway - as for the naked coyote, several of these have been spotted in Texas, and people immediately starting saying they were the mythical "chupacabra" again. Wildlife biologists say these are coyotes with severe cases of mange, and so are apt to act in a peculiar/atypical manner.

I have been honored by the Saint of the Thread!

Praise be to the Thread!

Of course it was on my day off.

I work a 4 and 3 schedule (10 hour days) with a rotating day off. This week was Thursday, next week will be Wednesday and so on. Not as good as the 4 and 4 I worked when I was in patrol but better than a 5 and 2.

In addition I work 3 weeks of days () and 2 weeks of nights ().

Of course this does not include the month or so that I get to teach at the academy or the other time I manage to scam to be out of the office.

BTW, it occurs to me some people might not know what the quote is about. It is a play on words from The Treasure of Sierra Madre. A bunch of nasty Mexicans confront Humphrey Bogart et al, claiming they are the police. When asked to show their badges, the Mexicans reply"Badges! We don't need no steenking badges!!"
