Sure, same thing here. 10 years is a lot more to you than to me.

Also, determining the age of some of the skirts around here is an iffy proposition at best. You are lucky if they know who their mama is and what kennel she came from.

well......in a perfect fantasy she would.....in the show she always turned into the same bug-eyed monster. Budgetary restrictions i guess.

Well, Netflix does have it and I just put all 16 disks in my queue. Now I just have to tell GF mark 1.0 what we're watching next week.

your right......'especially that recently around these here parts.....there was a little newspaper story about a man who was killed by a horse. I can't say more without incurring the wrath of Frag but lets just say that the horse wasn't the one wearing the saddle.

For Speedy and those who have yet to enjoy this fine tv show here is the synopsis.

"When Earth's moon is blasted out of orbit by a series of lunar nuclear waste dump explosions, the greatest adventure mankind has ever known begins for 311 men and women on Moonbase Alpha. With return to Earth impossible, the astronauts (Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Barry Morse and others) are headed for the outer limits of space, fighting for survival amid bizarre life forms, unfathomed civilizations, hostile environments and mystic phenomena. "

God, what a weird show that was... I remember watching some of it in the very late '70s.

I thought it was a horrible show, other than the alien chick, of course.

with very little editing, the last part sounds a lot like the last Star Trek (the one with the woman with the horrible voice whose name i refuse to remember) - you know, can't get back to Earth wandering around lost, etc....

The first season was scary at times. (before you laugh, recall that Nik was but a wee sprite at the time) After being used to "star trek" reruns where everything is happy and campy, some of the Season 1 Space 1999 episodes were downright creepy.....like when Ian Mcshane got turned into a heat sucking monster....or that octopuss with big lantern eye that sucked you in its maw and then spit out a gooey skeleton.

YIKES!

Eagles rule! ok they die and have no shields but they still look COOL!

Just checked it out - it actually ran 1964- 1970 (i didn't realize it was around after year 2!)

edit: it wasn't - it was 1966-67. see post below...

""Two American scientists are lost in the swirling maze of past and future ages during the first experiment of America's greatest and most secret project—The Time Tunnel. Tony Newman and Doug Phillips now tumble helplessly toward a new fantastic adventure somewhere along the infinite corridors of time."
- opening to The Time Tunnel"
