Boy am I glad I didn't pick some cute fuzzy thing as my avatar.

Mine is just a billion dollar piece of space hardware.

I may need to upgrade the umbrellas I issued as standard defence eq.

Tomorrow? Well, perhaps...
On the other hand, our shuttle launch for tomorrow isn't looking good so THAT could get "neener'd" back at us...

BTW, Bruce, are you associated with the space program in your professional capacity?

I'll say neener, but that's on general principle...

Well, I will try to tell you what I am allowed to talk about. Mostly it's my perspective on the space program. I think it's great.

Not unless he's in the PR department... You think NASA is actually going to tell you exactly where your tax dollars are going?

My buddies and i used to launch rockets as kids. Two of them became engineers and did some rocket work, i think (but not on the space program). We used to film stuff in super-8 and even stuck movie cameras on the rockets (in the 60's). The last was usually the kiss of death. We could fly the rocket multiple times without a problem, but as soon as that movie camera went on it, it would crash (from problems unrelated to the camera) ...

EDIT: We have some highly amusing footage...

Well, i think the question we ALL want to know is:

Any chance of this happening soon??

PS - in case you haven't guessed, that is a penguin in that space suit...

Sending him up - no problem. Bringing him back alive is another story.

For some reason, i suspect certain folks wouldn't have the later as a priority, just the former...

We have not launched any penguins yet. We used to launch rats all the time. Does anyone have a rat avatar....

We have done fish also. They did those on some of the flights with the Spacelab module.

Given full government pensions for life? People for Ethical Taxation Association were upset about this.
