as long as I inflict 500+ casualties per day his AV and troops number don't grow

Patience. I think you will capture Chungking eventually and when it is done game over in China.

Just keep bombarding him and ground attacking him with your bombers.

1. Repairing disablements will easily burn the 300 tons of supply per day. The problem occurs if the Allies get more than those 300 tons.

2. Since a lot of the Chinese Corps there are going to be 1/3rd strength they are going to fall foul of the rule whereby once a unit is under 50% strength or has more than 50% of its squads disabled further squads do not become disabled. They start dying.

3. The combination of bombardments and aerial attacks ( which can easily inflict up to 1,000 Chinese casualties per day when combined) should help drop his troop numbers. Just using bombardment alone I've managed to drop troop numbers in Chungking by 15,000 in 1 month. Fair enough it could take 11 months to reduce Chungking at that rate but it is doable. The key is to just bombard every single day and fly as many ground attack missions as you can afford.

level bombers are not available in such numbers - activity on frontier prevents this
i'm quite happy to see 500 casualties per day
but their total number doesn't go down

I am still here....I have not posted in awhile because my login is stuffed......hence the name.  Pressure is being applied to Sneer and he is found wanting.   I will have him crushed by the end of '44 and defeated by the end of '45.

how to be calm if I see enemy moving hapilly in places where he should be under pressure ?
instead of my 2h 43 land offensive in east india i see allied offensive there
my forces that should be used there are at F******g chungking now as nobody on the forum explained why i'm penalized to 30% assault value
no support voice about it - not even slightest reaction
no moderators , nobody with
sometimes support on witp is excellent and sometimes you ask yourself why certain things 2y after release are not working properly and why simple things are so difficult to solve

i doubt Raverdave can crush me there not behing lvl 9 forts after i reinforced area but certainly it will be nervous time for me ....
Raverdave feels strong and Japan is quite inactive - as written long ago i hate attrition war so if don't need to i don't do it
maybe it is found as weakness ? i don't know. i know PZB is fighting like a lion - certainly he is not inactive but he has enemy on own teritory ....
Chungking will or will not be taken it this game - maybe someone will manage to explain it sooner or earlier
i considered another slow PBEM /RHS/ yesterday but today i found i don't need second source of frustration.
this game will be kept - don't be worry
even if it will have bitter taste - i think Nemo is currently feeling similar however from other reasons.

Crushed Raverdave ? with what ? basicly all you can show is bombing me out of game we all have seen it in other games ... nothing new.
maybe you will even win some major naval battle in this war sooner or later

enough emotions - you have enough of this in Nemo's  AAR
we are in July - i'm lazy to show stats - maybe later

to treespider
even inflicting 500+ cas at Chungking doesn't influence troops number growth - however it certainly can slow it down a bit

today inf units were ordered to rest - they regain strenght slower when in bombardment mode
meanwhile i estimate that I inflicted 2.5-3k casualties

Ground combat at Chungking
Japanese Bombardment attack
Attacking force 11942 troops, 410 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 13423
Defending force 212319 troops, 0 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 6734
Allied ground losses:
198 casualties reported

The one I normally adhere to is no more than 1 Bomb Group per 24 hours on 1 target. So max 48 MLers per 24 hours and can only be used on single target.

In my experience as the allies I struggle even to use that as the mines are more damaging to my own ships than they are to the Japanese so I tend now not to use it at all but the ability to use it when I need to, albeit restricted, is a safety net

This was discussed in the now-famous Lunacy or Shrewdness AAR, and the suggestion made was that air-dropped mines would not be allowed in the presence of enemy fighters. In my opinion, this would mean mining is allowed only if the airfield is closed, or there are no fighters based there. I admit this does not address LRCAP from nearby bases, but it seems a reasonable compromise to me.

Hmmm....I like Andy Mac's idea.......but OTOH we now have enough house rules, I'd hate to add yet another one.

i hate House rules too but sth need to be chosen
you know the problem  - choose an option that will be less restrictive

Once my USN subs start using decent torps your SLOCs will be in trouble.

and it was agreed
"Air laid mines only at ports that don’t have fighters based.  Only one bomber group per turn is allowed to lay mines."
question is how many new house rules will be implemented till 1945???
