Hi Guys, Just letting you know i just posted a Goodwood scenario. Its on a 100x200 map and has 600+ units. It should take a long time to finish, especially getting through the maze of the Colombelles Steel Works. Been working on this one for a while, so any comments/criticisims would be great.

Gee I had to go to second page for this... PzMeyer, did you use standard SS infantry units for the game? Did you modify their ratings in any way? If the answers are yes and no, then there is a nasty *BUG* (gasp) as most of the SS infantry units in the scenario have very high Armour command ratings (70-80's) while their Infantry command rating is very low (40's). Now I think this will make their performance somewhat lacking? Or perhaps their tanks were shot up and they were reformed to infantry units? Voriax

Well well...finished playing this as Germans...have to say that I wasn't that impressed. Someone mentioned in another thread that having to fight a small battle at every village was great. Maybe for the allied side. When I started the game and especially when I saw where the enemy was I cursed..what the heck those Germans are doing there????? Well, the northern part got steamrolled in about 15 turns. By then I had my tanks in a defensive line and killed about 70-80 of enemy tanks, losing just one tank of my own. Problem was that the only infantry support was what tanks were able to carry, and there wasn't enough time to make a decent counterattack. All the nice 88's are totally useless if you play Germans. Also most of the arty is too short ranged and large amounts of infantry starts 150 hexes away from action...and no transport vehicles. final score was around 15000 to 2000 though Btw, Matrix gurus...how about making burning tanks & vehicles a terrain feature so they don't show in the force lists? You asked for comments, so here it is. But with some revision, this scenario can be one of the best there might be. I just got through about 15 turns playing the Germans. Current situation is that the allies are controlling all the victory hexes on the northern 1/3 of the map while there's still four separated pockets of resistances in the villages. The german infantry and the tanks are in process of redeploying on to the middle 1/3 of the map. From what I can tell, the allied tanks and infantry didn't seem to know where to go. Some of the tanks actually attacked northwest into town just south of the steel works. Also there seemed to be whole group of infantry milling around in the farm lands in the middle of top 1/3 of the map. I guess the isolated units were supposed to represent defense in depth, but they seemed more like suicide troops to me, especially the pzfaust/shreck troops dotting the landscape. Playing with the command and control on, it was agonizing gathering the troops for redeployment. I guess the deployment could've been little better, especially the AT guns. Placing them in a building might have been good idea, but there's no way to redeploy them without risking immobilization of precious few half-tracks. Maybe giving limited mobility to lighter pieces might be a partial answer. From what I understand of the German defense in that area, they were often able to give direct fire support from adjacent towns, but the farmlands have tendency to limit the LOS, effectively isolating a town from another. It might be better to replace the farmlands with the plain hexes. Soon as I finish germans, I'll start on the allies and see how that is. Despite the improvements that this scenario can use, I'm beginning to appreciate the headache and desperate hearts that the German officers might have felt.

Working on a second update, ive already posted one, but that mostly deals with the British deployment. Im working on the german stuff at the moment. Thanks for the feedback guys.
