Status: offline 		Okay well so far after managing the first 30 games of the season my Orlando Thunder have gone 17 - 13.

Our top 3 hitters(min 105 AB)-

3B Roderick Robinson .373 4 HR 24 RBI
1B Mike Riggs .312 10 HR 25 RBI
LF Raul Olszewski .305 7 HR 21 RBI

Our top 3 pitchers(min 38 IP)

#1 SP Walter Hurwitz 3.05 ERA 28 SO 13 BB
#3 SP Jerry Graham 3.35 ERA 28 SO 15 BB
#2 SP Roger Spencer 3.73 ERA 32 SO 20 BB

Orlando is in 1st in the Eastern Division of the Great American League
Phoenix is in 1st in the Western Division of the Metropolitan League with a record of 20 - 10
San Diego is in 5th in the Western Division of the Metropolitan League with a record of 11 - 19
Chicago is in 5th in the Western Division of the Metropolitan League with a record of 11 - 19
Portland is in 3rd in the Western Division of the Great American League with a record of 16 - 14
Las Vegas is in 2nd in the Western Division of the Great American League with a record of 20 - 10

As for the League Leaders, since this will be interesting to compare:

Hawaii leads both leagues with a record of 23 - 7.  Hawaii leades the Western Division of the Great American League and Orlando leads the Eastern Division.  Pittsburgh leads the Eastern Division of the Metropolitan League and Phoenix leads the Western Division of the Metropolitan League.

On my 30th game of the season I had the second Grand Slam Home Run of the year for my team.  Shockingly it was my pitcher that hit the Grand Slam.

Status: offline 		i did a bad thing and simmed last night to catch up to PadresFan, May 14th on the season, jsut to not be so far behind since i can't seem to steal enough extra time(the result of an 8 month old baby, but he loves to watch baseball and actually will sit with me and play PS...kind of a good luck charm). I will post my leaders tonight, but in my division, it is a dog fight early on now between Chicago and the Surf Dawgs

Man i really like this game

I bring in my 4th reliever of the game in the 9th to hold the game to only a 3 run deficit for our team.

4 pitches
4 hits
4 earned runs

S,S,S,HR




Oh, and I lost my #1 starter, Trosclair, to a serious arm injury in the 1st inning. Looks like Shaun may have fixed the bug with injured players not really being injured after the game, because he's really out for 5 1/2 weeks.

Standings:
Boston leads Met East 16-10
Seattle tied with Phoenix for Met West 14-12 (Chicago 12-14, SD 11-15)
Atlanta leads Great East 18-8 (New Hampshire 15-11, Orlando 13-13
Hawaii leads Great West 16-10 (Portland 13-13, LV 10-16)

Robert Brown (.443) of Chicago is the ba leader
Israel Delaney (13) of Hawaii is hr leader
Israel Delaney (38) of Hawaii is rbi leader

Mark Brown (1.14) of Atlantic City is era leader
Leo Williams (5-0) of Atlanta is wins leader
Joseph Franklin (11) of Michigan is saves leader

As for the mighty River Cats, the team struggled out of the gate but has been playing better lately. Joseph Holman has been our "best" starting pitcher (2-2, 4.36). Our bullpen has been adequate. MR/spot starter Samuel Leon is a beast. He's dominating RHB so far, and with his ratings I've yet to see him throw a pitch less than 94 mph. Check him out if you need a hard thrower out of the pen. Offensively C Louis Colman (.317-10-17), 3b Alfredo Eyman (.326-6-19), and CF Ray Murray (.340-3-21) have been our primary threats so far. I'm not sure how we've managed the record we have, here's hoping that things don't come crashing down quickly.

San Diego Surf Dawgs - Tied with San Francisco for 2nd in Metro West 8-5.  Seattle is in 1st 9-5
Phoenix Sidewinders -  Tied with Chicago in 3rd place Metro West - 5-8
Orlando Thunder -  Orlando and Atlants are tied for 1st in Great American East - 8-5
Portland Beavers -  Tied with Las Vegas, Hawii, and Reno for 2nd place in Great American West -6-7.  Michigan leads with a record of 9-4
New Hampshire River Cats - Tied with Winston-Salem  and Buffalo for 2nd in Great American East - 7-6
Philly, Toronto, and Pittsburg lead the Metro east - 7-6 by 1 game over the rest of the pack - 6-7

Leading hitter (average) - Raymond Watt - Las Vegas - .400  (45 AB 20 H, 4 HR, and 10 RBI)

Atlanta won their series 2-1 with  New Hampshire, Portland, and Las Vegas.  They split 2-2 with Reno.  In the first three games against Reno, the visitors jumped on Atlanta pitching in the first and build a large lead.  In game 1 & 2 Atlanta worked their way back to lead, ultimately winning the 1st and losing the 2nd.  Reno staved off any comback in the 3rd game and lead the series 2-1.  In the 4th game Atlanta turned the tables and built the early lead and held on for the win.

Pittsburgh (31-26) leads Met East by 1 game over Boston.
Phoenix and Seattle (31-26) tied for lead in Met West, two games ahead of Anaheim (SD 28-29, Chicago 27-30).
Buffalo (37-20) leads Great Am East, five games up on Atlanta (32-26) and six on our beloved River Cats (31-26). Orlando is 26-31.
Hawaii leads Great Am West (32-25) by 1 game over Michigan. Portland is 30-27.

League leaders:

Youngsters Myron Sipple and Harold Peters are off to go starts in AA and A respectively. They've both been regulars in the PSPN hottest pitching prospect notes.

Status: offline 		Wanted to report a couple of crazy games near the end of May...

5/25/00 - I blow an 8 to 1 lead in the 6th to lose to Pittsburgh, 12 to 9.  Mario Garrett, whom I received in a trade from Boston and then traded away to Pittsburgh back in April, hit 3 HR's and knocked in 5 RBI's to help the Steal take one on the road.

5/26/00 - The next night, my bullpen stinks just as bad as the previous night, and I find myself down 6 to 3 heading into the bottom of the ninth. I get one run across the plate and have men on the corners with 2 outs.  Pittsburgh has Carlton Rawlinson on the mound who has yet to blow a save all season.....

Status: offline 		Interesting assn.  Was this made with the default xml or were there some tweaks done to the player creation values?

I'd like to play it, but honestly don't have the RAM at this point.  The insane payrolls are somewhat an issue, too.  But overall, very interesting.

Status: offline 		I think that it is interesting that the first hitter facing Atlanta pitchers in virtually every game so far has lead off with a hit.  In virtually every game the Atlanta lead off man, regardless of who it is starts the game by striking out

My association is at the halfway point, having played 81 games so far.

So I'm wondering.. WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER GM'S THAT WERE RUNNING THIS ASSOCIATION???
