Here's a true Death Star and the LARGEST raid I have seen:

Plans are being made in Darwin for the forthcoming offensive. Since my CV's and main power is in the Central Pacific I am assuming to meet opposition. As such I will move under LBA cover. 3rd Marine Para Bn is preparing for Lautem (which is reported unoccupied). 4th RCT is preparing for Koepang (which will move AFTER Lautem is captured and is active.

I have several BF and Av. Rgt in place as well as other Para/Raider Bn's. Also marching from the south (Brisbane area) are 2 x Divisions + support.

We'll move off soon.

32 x Commando flew in to Darwin over night. 32 x Dakota were unloaded via train overnight.

for every hit 1% of supply is destroyed!

100%*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99*.99=88.628% remaining.

Thanks for the comments guys. In general if I can achieve 100-110 Supply hits i'm pretty happy. I think i'm upto 40-50 now at Wake. A further 6 depots were smashed today by Helldivers and Avengers.

My BB's have re-fueled and re-armed and are moving back towards Wake today. Good news both Australia and Bennett have made Midway. Bennett may survive. Australia will.

SS Swordfish unfortunately missed the prize ML Okinoshima with 4 torpedoes in the Sulawesi-Borneo strait

SS Cero probably sank the empty AK Ryua Maru with 3 shells and 2 torpedoes SE of Legaspi.

SS Billfish sank the empty freighter Hamburg Maru with 2 torpeodes in the starboard 60 miles SW of Saigon.

Air sightings = 18
Air attacks = 1
Air hits = 1 - SS Amberjack near Iwo Jima. Will return to Midway

SS Billfish continued to track the enemy convoy east past Saigon. She managed to achieve firing position and hit AK France Maru with a torpedo.

The irony.......ML Wakatake hit a mine laid by O-19 at Saipan. She sank within minutes.........oh the irony..........We hates Japanese mines so a welcome addition to Davy Jones.

Nice planning . . . distract him at Wake, and then launch a second op. I assume there's not much in the way of naval support for your Timor invasion -- how's the bomber support?

Hi Capt. Correct not much in naval support. Air support is MASSIVE though. So many air units waiting to be unleashed in Australia - P38J's, P47D's, Spitfires, P40N's. Bomber wise also massive - 6 x Heavy BG, 100's of B25J, A20G, Beaufighters.

There will also be third Op. from the SEAC front within a month.

SS Billfish continued her amazing run of success today. Patrolling back towards Saigon she encountered another Freighter convoy. She probably sank AK Dakar Maru with 2 torpedo hits. That's 2 x AK sunk and 1 x AK damaged in 3 days

SS Pike damaged AK Batopaha Maru with a torpedo 240 miles SE of Iwo Jima.

Air sightings = 11
Air attacks = 0

Wake was hit again by 437 bombers today. They destroyed a further 4 supply depots.

Status: offline 		We were discussing Mossies at work today. Does anyone know if the one Kerman Weeks lent to the Experiment Aircraft Association Museum in Wisconson is still flyable (it was when it was sent there)?

The Mossie is my favorite WWII airplane.

A good day for the Allies........my subs hit home again despite Faber's more advanced ASW:

SS Snook damaged AK Nanka Maru after tracking her 120 miles SW. This was 360 miles south of Okinawa

SS Skipjack hit ML Okinoshima with a torpedo! She won't sink but at least she'll be out of action for a while. This occured due north of Macassar.

SS Darter evaded 4 x light ASw vessels in the morning but in the atfernoon she blew up PG Keijo Maru with 2 torpeodes 180 miles SE of Shanghai.

SS Sargo blew up ML Naryu with 2 torpedoes 120 miles south of Banjarmasin.

Air sightings = 21
Air attacks = 1

Wake was hit again and this time from the sea as well as the air as a BB division moved within range to let loose again. 12 more supply hits achieved today.

Operation Kingfisher has been given the go ahead!

With clearish weather predicted tomorrow the 3rd USMC Para's will airdrop on a suspected empty Lautem, Timor. Elements of 74th Base Force will not be far behind. 100's of planes are at Darwin awaiting deployment - a P47D FG was moved in today as were a Spitfire VIII Squadron and 2 x Beaufort Squadrons.

Once Lautem is secured further elements will be flown in and when air superiority is achieved AK's will ferry in further additional supplies.

3 x DD arrive in theatre tomorrow as does 767th USA Tk Bn and Kings Dragoons Tk Rgt at Karachi. With it's arrival SEAC will begin moving for it's next operation...........

Status: offline 		His main fleet units are probably far away. Difficult for him to project any sort of air power from land bases around there (unless they're on Timor itself), and the perceived threat's bigger in CENTPAC.

Status: offline 		It's interesting how quickly the pendulum swings the other way. In my PBEM, it's Oct 42 and his air power is causing me problems in the Solomons and Burma. His navy, on the other hand, is still pretty much SOL unless under his LBA umbrella.

Woah what a day in the war...............

SS Guardfish hit jackpot today. Patrolling 120 miles east of Morotai she spotted a Flat top! She closed and 2 torpedoes slammed home into the starboard side of the converted CVL Chiyoda leaving her listing and heavily damaged. The escorts frantically searched for Guardfish with Oyashio and Hamanami dropping 10's of DC's leaving Guardfish with damage and flooding. She will return to Darwin a hero. Hopefully Chiyoda will sink. The good news is the nearest large port is Palau (size 5) 8 hexes away. A further sub is en route to intercept that route if possible.

This further confirms my thought that CV's are in the area. As such it could be fun at Timor.........

Air sightings = 15
Air attacks =1

SS Tambor sank at Darwin harbour due to battle damage.

Talking of Timor........3rd Marine Para's successfuly jumped near the airbase and captured with no interference on the ground or in the air from the Japanese. Limited supplies are available and 779 mines are present. Tomorrow the rest of 3rd Para will be airlifted as will elements of 79th Base Force. An EAB Bn is embarking on Freighters for movement to Lautem. P38J's are ordered to fly LRCAP over Lautem tomorrow against any potenmtial Japanese air response.

Wake was smacked from the sea and air causing 1550 casualties and 10 further supply hits. The BB's are to retire tomorrow for replenishment again.

With 25th Dragoons at Karachi SEAC is mobilised. Several units are embarked on Freighters for deployment....details in due course...........

3 x DD, 2 x AK, and LST and SS Truculent arrive in theatre tomorrow as does an SBD Squadron.

Personally i'd say 90% no chance. Main reason for that is the Japanese are still at their prime (assuming no KB units have been lost).

SS Robalo moved into position 180 miles west of Palau waiting for the hopeful target of Chiyoda to appear. Right on cue there she was! At 8AM she was in full view still listing from Guardfish's attack. Robalo lined up the four stern tubes and let losse............1 torpedo slammed home into the already damaged starboard side creating a massive fuel explosion which physically seemed to rock the ship. Listing even further to starboard and left dead in the water Robalo has reported her as probably being sunk. I hope so........

Air attacks =1

The final supplies and fuel are being loaded on ships in Karachi.

No Japanese reaction to Timor as yet. Throughout the day the rest of 3rd Marine Para was landed as were the aviation support elements of 74th Base Force. Further supplies and support personnel will be flown in tomorrow.

It looks like you're doing this entirely with airlift and LBA support so far. When are the first reinforcement ships due?

Hi Capt - Good question. Thanks for asking. Shipping is limited in the area and mainly consists of AK, TK, DD, PC, MSW, DD craft. I have sent a small convoy to Lautem from Darwin. Sent it yesterday but forgot to mention it. It's carrying the 35th SeeBees and 42,000 tonnes of supply. The main problem I forsee for it is thus: c.700 mines remain at Lauem but I only have 1 x MSW craft with the convoy (the resat are utilised in the main offenseive - Cent. Pac.). Also IF KB is in the area could be fun..............

Good news folks....Faber confiremd to my by e-mail he scuttled Chiyoda. Scratch one flat top by great teamwork of my lovely submarines

SS S-37 hit the empty transport Chinko Maru with 2 torpeodes 120 miles south of Menado. She was left heavily damaged and burning.............

The majority of 74th Base Force has been airlifted to Lautem now providing AA defence as well as aviation support. The 3rd USMC Paras are all on station too. Also an impressive 325 tonnes of supply were airlifted from Darwin.

Once more Wake was hit by my CV's destroying another supply depot. 1 x BB Division is at Midway and will move to Wake again. The other 2 are still moving to Midway to rearm. Very soon my CV's will move back to Midway to refuel and rearm and then they come back for round 2....as I say no messing up this one.

Tomorrow the last supplis will be stowed upon my British AK's for my SEAC Operation.

Timor is turning out to be a fun little 'jaunt'. A further 300 tonnes of supply were airlifted today and most of the 74th Base Force is at Lautem. My first naval element arrived at Lautem today. MSW Chief led the way safely through the mines. We begin to unload Supplies and 35th SeeBees tomorrow. The first thing they will do is to build extra runways. Once i'm upto level 5 the local area for 660 miles has had it due to the range of my P38's and Liberators............

Talking of Liberators. Recon has noticed IJA elements operating from Amboina again. Can't have that Darwin Heavies raided Amboina with P38J escorts. They encountered their first A6M5c's. 8 were shot down for the loss of a Liberator. Further Zeke's and Dinah's were destroyed on the ground.

The enemy lost 27 planes to my 19 today.

SS Skipjack arriving on station as part of the new 'Oil Centre' Operation encountered a Freighter convoy. She heavily damaged AK Kirisima Maru with a torpedo 60 miles east of Balikpapan.

SS S-38 missed AP Buenos Aires Maru 60 miles SE of Menado.

SS Snook fired her last 4 torpedoes at AK Toyohasi Maru. 2 hit and forced the freighter to capsize within minutes. This took place 300 miles south of Okinawa.

Wake was hit again by my CV's. A further 3 supply depots were hit. 1/2 of my force is to retire to Wake for refueling and rearming.

The build up continues on all fronts.......

Wake is bombed again and a further 4 Supply depots are hit.

3/4 of 35th SeeBees are ashore at Lautem as are 4500 tonnes of supply.

SEAC TF's are leaving Karachi for Columbo and Trincomalee...........

Darwin Heavies hit Amboina again torching 27 x Zeke and 7 x Dinah recon. We rest tomorrow and maybe stike Kendari.

SS Stingray damaged AK Nissyo Maru with a toropedo 60 miles west of Tawi Tawi.

SS Gunnel probably sank the empty freighter Sinko Maru with 2 torpedoes 120 miles east of Tarakan.

SS Bang was hunted by 5 x DD 360 miles SE of Saipan. Little damage was caused.

Air sightings = 20 (probably more sightings now due to more subs being on patrol)
Air attacks = 3
Air hits = 1

Interesting, interesting. A Sunderland patrol plane spotted what looks like an enemy SC TF bearing down on Lautem from the NW (screenshot attached). As such my suopply convoy has been ordered to stop unloading and put out to see towards Darwin until a further update can be obtained. Unfortunately the airfield is too small to hold DB/LB as yet but the SeeBees are working hard (upto 21% toeards level 2).

If he moves past Lautem towards Darwin there are several Beaufort, Beaufighter, Mitchell and Vengence squadrons waiting for them.

Also interesting. A Submarine reported seeing a Judy dive bomber 360 miles east of the Mariana's. Is Faber comign to meet me at Wake or was it a false report? My other CV groups will be headign back to Midway tomorrow to re-arm and refuel. When all CV groups are ready i'll move west of Wake to see what's happening. If nothing we return to pummel Wake before going in.

A BB division bombarded Wake but achieved little DD Saufley hit 2 mines on the way in. She will sink. I tried scuttling her but whenever I tried the game crashed

SS Darter heavily damaged DD Kasasagi with a torpedo 60 miles SE of Shanghai. The other ASW vessels did not significantly damage my submarine.

SS Stingray was moderately damaged by PC vessels 60 miles west of Tawi Tawi.

SS S-28 missed AP Huso Maru 300 miles east of Iwo Jima.

Air sightings = 22
Air attacks = 3

The enemy TF did not move into Lautem and was not spotted. Maybe it has withdrawn. Nonetheless we remain wary and the transports stay away from Lautem for now

SS Billfish evaded 3 x ASW vessells 120 miles ESE of Saigon.

SS Bashaw saw her first action of the war by damaging the empty transport Nichiran Maru with a torpedo 480 miles WNW of Guam.

SS Halibut heavily damaged PC Kyo Maru #13 with a torpedo 480 miles east of Saipan.

SS Pike evaded 5 x DD 360 miles NW of Pagan.

SS I-40 and I-164 tried to interfere with my naval forces around Wake but were driven off with several near miss DC's.........

Air sightings = 23
Air attacks = 6

Wake was hit again from the air and by the sea led by Alabama, Washington and North Carolina. 1000 casualties were sustained and 5 supply depots hit.

Mandalay is slowly being battered whilst SEAC moves towards another operation (forces converging on Trincomalee for now). Almost down to 4900 AV now:

Well the enemy TF was spotted near Kendari again....i'm still not convinced and the freighters are staying away from Lautem. The c.200 transports lifted in 54th Aviation Rgt to Lautem today. Good good. Within 3 days she will be at level 2 and can support more planes.........

The Darwin Heavies hit Kendari today. Pretty equal battle with me losing 32 planes for the day to Faber's 44 (1/2 on the ground at Kendari). A6M5, Tojo's and Jack's were encountered as CAP. We return tomorrow.

BB Nevada hit a type 93 mine at Wake. Damage is non-existant though (10 SYS). Wake was shelled for the last time in 'round 1' causing 350 casualties. All CV and BB divisions are to meet at Midway and refuel and rearm. Then as mentioned the CV divisons move west PAST Wake to see if anything's there. Then we resume 'round 2' at Wake.

SS Bowfin was lightly damaged by an ASW TF 240 miels north of Pagan.

Air attacks = 1
