On hold waiting to speak with the State Departmentn of Taxation tithe.

Good thing I took a 1/2 vacation day to do this since my boss would wonder who I was on hold with for 30 minutes while at work.

3 years ago my accountant reversed 2 numbers on my business's tax return. I got it straightened out and the company was disolved in favor of an LLC. Now I get a notice saying that the company with the reversed #s hasn't filed a return in 3 years!

So now I must convince some State tax minion that this company never existed and that I don't own them money. I get the feeling this is going to be a long and costly process.

Good luck with that. My father sold his business in 1983. In 1986 he received a notice from the state dept. of taxation showing he hadn't paid taxes for 3 years. He finally got the state to see it his way 2 years and several court dates later. Several years later, a new administration took over in the state and the notices started all over again and he was being fined for not paying the unpaid taxes. He made the mistake of paying some of the fees and so they went after him for all of the money that he never owed in the first place. Several court dates later, that was resolved. Until the next adminstration took over and it started all over again. We are now looking forward to the next round now that we have a new administration taking over the state again.

I have achieved victory over the State Tax man!

Here was the screw up. My old complany's # ended in 923. My accountant filed a return with the last #s on 932. This caused a problem in that my real # did not show it's taxes as paid. I cleared this up, disolved the company and reformed as an LLC. Somebody used the 932 # as the LLC eventhough I just got a notice that I need to file an annual report for my LLC with it's correct #.

After explaining this to the very nice minion they have removed the 932 number from their records and all I have to do is write a very long letter explaining the saga and enclose copies of my letter of disallution, annual report request, 3 pints of blood, some DNA, and a urine sample and everything should be fine. What better way could I have spent 2 hours on a beautiful Fall day?

Your victory is only temporary (hopefully not though). See above post.

Don't go to the retirement parks, that is our 5th column group. We have already completely infiltrated the state. Your only strongholds left are those areas that can't figure out how to vote.

Disassembly appears to require removing dishwasher from cabinet and removing pump/motor housing assembly etc. This is somethying I will not do again. I did it once to replace leaking seals on a previous dishwasher. Repair took me over 2 weeks and lasted less than 2 months. The motor shaft was corroded and the seal did not seal well. We bought a new dishwasher after that. I will call a repair man tomorrow.

Tonight I wash dishes by hand.

Well, my dogs got lucky tonight, and we dine on "the other white meat"... One less of Solli's minions!!

If only they had done it a bit earlier, and Thanksgiving might have been a bit more festive!

Buy a new one. You can get them for a couple hundred bucks. Much less than paying someone to fix it.

Fair does - just getting a day off and having no WITP to play is frustrating. I might even have to spend some time with the wife
