I gain some really nice guns from fleeing confederates.   At the same time I gain another 15 point toward Experience upgrades while he gets none.

I’m sending my fleet down south to try to find his fleet.  It somehow has seemed to disappear on me.  Let’s see if I can finish his fleet off.

It’s strangely empty in the East.  My brigades I mustered several turns ago have finally come together in a new corps along with a artillery piece totaling 30,000 men.  If I can get them to the AoP it will offset all the men I have lost so far this year and hopefully restore the balance of power.

Here’s a shot of how the AoP splintered after the defeat, I’ll try to regroup them and make my stand in Kentucky.  This turn over, hopefully next turn will be nicer to me.

Although it shows him winning 4 battles this is deceiving.  All four of those battles were against the army coming up from Florida.  I’m hoping this will buy me time to launch a major counterattack with my AoP and the Army of Kentucky against his army in Tennessee which this turn came up into Bowling Green.

I complete 2 mints, a horse farm, and a war college.  I’m got my technology buildings going hopefully I’m pulling ahead in the technology war.

Rhode Island gets hit with another Disease, bad luck them.

And he finally got a point of support from England, I’m going to increase spending form them to try and keep him at 0.

2ed screen.

I guess its not too bad.  I dint lose any good weapons and he did not gain any experience upgrade points and it did draw some of his western army eastward.

The Counter Attack.  I’m guessing he’s gona try and move this army back into Tennessee as he has done in past turns.  Hopefully I can catch him with one of my armies and the other will join the battle as reinforcements.

This is the army that got its butt kicked in the battles this turn.  I can only hope some of it makes it back north.

And my 30,000 man corps moves into Virginia hoping to draw some of his forces away from my armies in the west.  Half of the battalions in this corps are armed with Spencer repeating rifles and I plan on upgrading the artillery piece in the corps to whatever the biggest more expensive one is next turn.  I’m counting on them being able to hold back larger confederate forces.

And finally I end my turn with an upgrade.  Most of the choices I was given seem they are meant for detail combat mode.  I’ll have to look and see if they are taken into account by the computer for instant battles.  But I chose Indian training to give me some better quality Indian troops.

Your aar got me into this war, he made me stay but the gripping account of the brave men, on the doomed passage back from Florida, has won me back to your side.

Well I seem to have fallen behind on my posting due to me going home for the weekend and having to study for finals so I’ll try to post my last two turns here.

It seems that army fleeing back from Florida won a battle, what are the odds.  It is however a hollow victory for as of now they have dropped below 2,000 men.  More buildings are coming online including another camp.  I’m going to have to continue building camps since I’ve seen he got the Invalid Corps upgrade, rats.

Somehow we both lost 1 man in a small battle in the Appalachian area.  I dare anyone to post a picture of a smaller battle.

I’m going to move both armies into bowling green in the hopes of meeting his army and giving it a good beating.  With any luck we can repay him for the last few turns of nothing but casualties.

I move the new corps into Garficon to try to surprise his small division that is currently stationed there.  I upgraded the corps with more spencer rifles and a ordnance cannon.

The governor of Missouri is holding back 15 of my money a turn because he wants 22 battalions to be stationed in his state. Its starting to hurt my income to the point that I need to satisfy him but I just cannot spare the troops.

And at the end of this turn I am presented with an upgrade and chose Siege techniques incase I need to fall back to my forts if I continue to lose these battles.  What’s happening I believe is he upgraded most of his troops at the start of the game while I built up my economy and added several buildings to my side.  If I can hold out my superior economy should be able to let me overcome his military advantage at the moment and will the late game war.

Another bad turn of the union.  My corps in Virginia meets lees army and suffers a defeat and another large army gets hit by disease, sigh.  I get another camp built bringing my reinforcements up to 5000 a turn.  I’m desperate here and decided its best if I try to muster two divisions worth of infantry from my cities.

Here’s the battlereport page.  Luckily my corps doesn’t drop any of its spencer’s.  And his large army manages to avoid me in Bowling Green, slippery little devil.
