We went to an artificial tree a about 10 years ago. The doctor bills diue to my wife's allergies when we brought the tree in the house added significantly to the cost of a real tree.

We have never used candles on a tree (even when growing up).

Terminus knows what safety measures to take.

I would not feel comfortable putting candles on a tree

So from tomorrow afternoon, I'll be absent for a while...

I will finish a turn tonight. I have been busy. My son and I did some shopping. While we were gone, a wall mounted shelving unit in the garage came down. We replaced it with a new unit.

Morning Tithe...

Hey Dixie,
I've got a question for you: My parents had some visitors from England a couple of weeks ago, and as a present, they gave us a Sainsbury's Christmas Pudding ("A rich fruit pudding with juicy sultanas & raisins") and Bird's Custard ("Instant - Soft and Creamy! - Low Fat" ). At breakfast the family council decided to eat it today (Germans celebrate Christmas on the eve of the 24th).

So my question is: will we survive it? It looks really heavy, will we need some Schnapps afterwards?

You'll survive, I love Christmas pudding.  It is heavy though, schnapps after any meal is never a bad thing is it?  I don't usually eat my pudding with custard though.

Great, looking forward to it!  We're not really sure about the custard either - looks like pure sugar (but low fat! )... I'll guess we leave it away then.

The usual thing is to eat it with brandy butter, some people prefer cream. I've never really eaten it with custard

  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 4 tablespoons brandy
