Not trying to flood the forum, but I am having problems after just buying this game. In To Protect the Queen, I am trying to launch 9 Tornado GR.1 with Sea Eagle + ALARM loadout from Manchester to strike the Soviet task group in the north.

The aircraft never launch.

I have tried selecting one ship and making the mission, and tried selecting the entire task group and creating the mission (ship strike). Neither works.

After reading through the forum, I have even tried selecting the aircraft from the Ready Air screen and clicking Launch. They still do not launch.

What am I doing wrong?

Tried this myself with Bob on IRC (welcome back to Harpoon Bob!)...

I used 3.7.3 and did:

1. Marked one of the detected ships as hostile with 'h' key
2. Selected that single ship
3. Created a new Ship Strike mission, radar and ecm active, 1/3rd rule, delay of 1 minute (old habits die hard), and added the 6 Sea Eagle armed Tornadoes
4. Tornadoes eventually took off and tried to attack the target.

So for me it worked, Bob will see what he can get operational and will report back. Thanks for stopping by Bob!

The strike mission should work without selecting a target. As long as the target is hostile, the mission should trigger.

The one thing that I have noticed that is different is that I did not check the 1/3 box and left radar off to begin with.

It is probably yet another bug they introduced in 3.7. Stick to 3.6.2 (or 3.6.3) for now, it works fine.

After reading the forum, I would really like to go to 3.6.x, but I cannot find the file. I just bought Harpoon a week ago. Where can I find a 3.6.x file?

The correct channel for getting 3.6.3 is via AGSI (email support @ for a start, or visit the #harpoon channel on Gamesurge IRC network).  Past that you've probably read enough on the forum here to see that some are willing to bend the rules really really far and get you 3.6.3 without AGSI.

It can't be all bad though, Taitennak is over there in the AAR section playing a scen over multiple days and the sky isn't falling on him, can't be all bad playing the game.
