ORIGINAL: VSWG If you haven't done it already, I'd look for a firmware update for your burner, as these updates contain the newest disk specifications. This doesn't sound like casual failures, although I'm really not an expert. But there are lots of forums that deal with problems like this, and there you can get much better advice. ctangus, no problem. Brand new burner - no updates. Nah, the problem seems to be in the dying computer... Windows scheduler is really wonky, and kept starting stuff when it wasn't supposed to... i've been killing off stuff gradually, and i think i've got that part under control. ANytime ANYTHING started when the disk was burning, the thing messed up the disk. The Fujifilm disks are just too cheap... it would get pretty near the end before the verification failure, and that is where the problems usually pop up in poorly QCed media (the outer tracks)... i bought some more Memorex disks, and it is in the last part of the creation (verifying...) hopefully about 15 more minutes to go...
