Andy landed no less than 3 divisions, 2 US and 1 Aus, as well as 6 tank battalions and support troops. All in one day. Wake Island is so isolated that it's impossible to provide more than token support to the besieged troops there. Must admit that I am still awaiting a major enemy offensive in the DEI. The US should be strong enough to perform 2 offensive simultanously now. I have ordered the reinforcement of Bonin and Iwo Jima. If Wake Island falls these bases will become threatened. In 14 days a crack division from China will be released for Iwo Jima and several brigades are already being loaded for Bonin. We can never allow the enemy to establish themselves on these islands. I sent some comments regarding the number of troops that should be used on atolls. I've been trying to keep the number below 30k, but if Andy can land 55k in one day, I may have to increase this to 50k. Andy also mentioned that he observed that there were some 100k troops on bases in the Marianas. As far as I know non of the bases there are atolls. In the Palaus, yes...but garrisons were much smaller on these bases. Matrix should seriously consider stacking penalties on atolls. As the game works now it can easily become a bit bizare. Because of some tech problems it may be a little while before the next post.
