I have a good (graphic) information about the germany freighters in "Mittelmeer" from the ONI files.
Those ships will be added to mod. Imagine the question is where (port) start in the game....

i think some small freighters in athen/Aegäis (greek capital) to support the islands, the mass in the convoy buildung ports in Italy? i have no information...

The KG 26 with He-111/16 in the game was a Torpedo "Kampfgeschwader". They use the He-111 H-4 and later in the war JU-88. The german "Torpedo-Bomber" always carry 2 Torpedo (!).

In the game is in the 7. S-Boot Flottille S-30, S-31, S-32, S-33 and S-34. S-32 sunk on 22.06.1940. The S-30 come to the Med in May 1942.

German "Schnellboote" in the Med:

Jan 1942
S-31, S-33, S-34, S-35, S-61

Feb 1942
+ S-54, S-56, S-57, S-58, S-59

May 1942
+ S-30, S-36, S-55, S-60

And the german S-Boote can lay Mines. On 15.01.1942 the lay east from Malta 36 Mines. I dont know how often they do that.

To Francis Drake: When i was work on the mod, i don't have any idea about number of Schnellboote present in the Med. It's because the names and numbers are wrong or incomplete.
Thanks to your information, the errors will be corrected in the next patch.

Also, you know if the Luftwaffe use in the med ONLY A Gruppe of torpedo capable He-111? There are more gruppen?
I don't sure about add a new plane (He-111H-4) to put only 16/20 torpedo planes.

one small thought
witp engine has few things like available dates hardcoded but WPO version of this engine had been changed to allow mod creation
what if WITM was under WPO.exe ?????

i have ctd after 1st turn

third
i see strange troops conditions like 300/300
is it as designed

fourth
DE kujawiak and SS Sokol were under Polish command - maybe there is a way to change their nationality at least in a way RHS did with thai units?

fifth
are devices on a list to change soon?
maybe i could help a bit?

Not OT for this theatre. Does anybody remember the famous ace who had the Isle of Man logo on the side of his Spit ? I seriously cannot remember, but he was in the RAF..
I know it was not Bader or J.E.Johnson..(They were never in this theatre anyway..)

Well. If this means that i must re-start to modding in the WPO Editor....forget about that!
If anyone knows how to do it without lost the work.

I need more informatión about this so to date anyone (i have seven other people running the game with no problems) have ctds.
What type of game: PBEM or Head to head game?
Have you install all the graphics? Sometimes this is the cause to ctds.

You right, they are polish under british command but i think is not important create a new "side" to reflect the polish in game for only two naval units.

Modding the DEVICES file is a complicated story. Sometimes create unexpected bugs.
I have modify/create german land weapons/vehicles, some air, like the Hs missile.
But i decide do not modify naval armament because a don't know the characteristics of the italian/german naval armaments. Every help in this is welcome of course.

hi, i knew that my computer skills will cause me a problems....... i've installed mod but i get unable to find PW data message...

i moved all files to the new folder (see picture) as i was done for CHS

created new folder and copied all files from WITP, then copied in the mediteran folder.

then selected the .exe file in this new copy and right click on it amd create a short cut on your desktop and extracted all files into temporary folder.

After that i proceeded with Beren's tips for the instalation and tried to run the game.... and got message.....


help"!

The 6. Staffel from the II. Gruppe is from Oct. 42 in Cantania/Sardinia. They attack Malta and ships in the med.
After Torch the I. KG 26 were ready per 10.nov. 42 in Grosseto. The 6. Staffel go to Grosseto per 09.11.1942. Middle Dec. the II. Gruppe were ready at Grosseto.

The III. Gruppe come to Grosseto per 10.Nov. 42. They flow Ju88 with 2 Torpedos. The others flow He111 with 2 Torpedos.

I would say, make it easy and give they He111 and let they come to Grosseto.

I. Gruppe 10.Nov. 42
II. Gruppe 15. Dec. 42
III. Gruppe 10.Nov. 42

And every He-111 can carry Torps, but the crews must special trained.

When you need some Info more, i have a book of the KG 26.

Pauk, you have to create a shortcut of that game exe file to your desktop.

After it's on your desktop, right click on it and open properties.
Change the destination of the opening exe file to match the location of where you have the game installed.

It should already be close.
Make sure the same names are used as your new game folder.

This menu also allows you to change the icon.

Great job Fremen and everyone on the team!
I wish you have loads of fun upgrading the mod and making it a most original mod based on WitP! I'm sure the community will understand some hardcoded obstacles that couldn't have been tackled. Looking forward to it when it's "stable"

One thing to pass on about this mod.

If something looks like it has a label from WITP, home port or database, don't click on it.
It will cause a CTD.

Right "irrelevant"?

The properties menu will list it as the target box.
Right up at the top.

It should be something like this.
Target. "C:\Matrix Games\WITM\War in the Pacific.exe"
Start in. "C:\Matrix Games\WITM"


WITM should be your folder name.

ok, i've done it... created shorcut Pac.exe(2) and its destination is witm indeed...but when i run it opens WiTP....

i guess it has to be something with WiTP ico...? (do i need to change this icon with classic witp icon and how?)

Ok. Working on a He-111H-4 torp plane. I cannot simply use the He-111 and Ju-88 present in the game with torps because the WITP Engine will use them ALL like torpedo. This is not fair to allied side...and unrealistic.

This must be the "Canton base" problem...it's is sad.
More better do not touch some buttons.

To Pauk: It's not necessary use the WITM.ico file. This file is only to change the ICON of the original game and see a clear difference in your desktop.
Can you run the game if you click on the "War in the Pacific.exe" file present in your witm folder? If your answer is YES, then you only must configure correctly the propeties of the desktop icon. Otherwise i think you not make a correct installation of the mod.
