Righty ho. turn done and sent to Aztez .

Japans initial invasions will be :-

PI

linguyan
Naga
cagayan
Davao
Jolo

No messing about with the smaller traditional NE bases .. cagayan to clarke before he can evac the
north would be nice.

Malaya

Mersing
Khota baru
Para drop on victoria point

Mersing to attempt to cut mayala in 1/2 . Khota baru for the airfield

DEI

Amboina covered by a CVE
that NW base on borneo (terrible memory)

just the 2 for now

SW PAC

just one small base north of rabaul for a level 1 AF.
I find that the troops in truk cannot take rabaul against good play. so no point trying yet.

Central Pac

Wake .. bumped up the invasion by 2 naval guard
Tarawa (small units)

So nothing major or abusing the 1st turn move system as far as i can tell .

KB will strke sngapore !

why ? well i find that POW and repulse can be a real pain for the DEI advance. ALso means i have the
CV's on hand where i want them most and DEI is a priority target along with malaya. I'd have liked
to have tried a central pacific advance but it's just way too risky for me.

so so many things to go wrong and so so many daft dispositions. china is a royal mess. i'm going to
try and clear out the chinese behind my lines 1st while holding the front defensively untill i
can muster enough force and have a safe rear area. There are some really interesting new cities
in china ( will screenie later).

1st impressions of playing japan for the first time is rather daunting to say the least. I have
tinkered with japanese production for the obvious tasks i.e convert nate-oscar. increace zeros a bit
and reset recons a/c to dinah's. with the Pete being a float fighter now it's not a given to
convert them over utomatically, the LR cap ability could be massively useful in deterring unescorted
strikes. Time will tell so i am still producing the full range of float planes for now.
Transport a/c will consolidate down to tabbys and L3Y's. I have kept open the hickory production
as i believe japan needs 36 at least to allow reinforcemnets to arrive later on.

Hant done anything with ship production as turn 1 does not seem to allow me to tinker with that
for now. however shinano will be stopped and 3 CV's accelerated. The rest will looked at in a few
game weeks as there is so much to try and do at the start.

anyhoo, we are running the the following house rules :-

House rules

1. Only 1 port strike on turn one.

2. The maxium number of ships at ASW TF is 6.

3. Minium altitude for 4E bombers on naval assault is 15 000 feet.

4. No changing HQ units in order to save PP.

5. PP must be paid for Manchuko and Chinese units in order operate out of their theatres.

6. Maxium number of operational aircraft on non atoll base: level x 50

7. Maxium number of operational aircraft on atoll base: level x 20 (Truk and Kwaleijin will go into x50 rule)

8. Maxium of 8 CV's in an hex. (4 CV's + 4 CVL/CVE ships)

9. If Japanese go for USSR than the Soviets need to be activated 7 turns before the assault.

10. When transfering aircraft long ranged bombers need to be on standby orders. This does not apply to fighters.

11. Only base hexes can be targeted on amphibitious invasions.

12. Pursue command in ground combat is banned for both sides

All seem to be sensible ones and any issues that crop up can be sorted out between us in an
amicable manner. ust remember to ask him about ariel mining , just noticed its not on the list.

I got so engrossed spending 5+ hours doing turn 1 that i forgot to take any screenies , sorry.

fingers crossed for turn 1 !

Having KB in the DEI also gives his Cv's around Pearl Harbour a free reign to interfer with your Wake operation in particular, just an observation. Somthing that i've always wanted to try with Japan, is to place the Kido Butai imbeteewn the West coast and PH would cause a lot of disruption to the Allied buildup and a chance to sink a few divisions worth of troops and maybe some warships.

You can crush the Allies in the DEI with land based air, but in the pacific the Carrier is king.

Good luck.

Good to hear Rob!!
Once I can afford a newer computer, I will join you and try my luck with the "dark side" in a PBEM.
I will use your AAR of what "not" to do....LOL!!!

Hi all .. Cpt Sherwood .. my mistake we are playing Big B's mod which neither of us have even tried before and we havnt looked at the enemys startup either so its a real FOW ..

Little joe .. wake fell ! and the combat ships are running at full speed back to kwajelien just in case his CV's come calling . i felt the KB in the DEI will speed up things a lot. and stop annoying allied SC forces from interfering too much.

NY59Giants . good luck with the new puter, its a whole new ball game playing as japan .. really nail biting if im honest.

Brief update as i don't have time tonight to do a full one (tomorrow for that).

POW sunk
Repulse sunk

and absolutely no torpedoes were launched from the KB kates over 2 days . thank god for the 800kg bomb !

all invasions happened bar one near rabaul (failed to load).

more tomorrow ..

Okay here is some more turn one details:-

Malaya

Kohta baru airfileds Were targeted with little or no result from the japanese indo china based
bomber force. 18th Division landed here with little incident and will shock attack next turn
to try and quickly get the base. A large aviabion regiment awaits at bangkok with shipping for
transfer across the straights.

Giamond harbour had a lucky escape when most of 1st parar landed and assulted the base at 3-1 odds.

Ground combat at Victoria Point

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 521 troops, 6 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 25

Defending force 684 troops, 6 guns, 2 vehicles, Assault Value = 1

Japanese max assault: 44 - adjusted assault: 21

Allied max defense: 1 - adjusted defense: 7

Japanese assault odds: 3 to 1 (fort level 3)

Japanese Assault reduces fortifications to 0

Allied ground losses:
1 casualties reported
Guns lost 1

2nd para will load on the tabbys and fly in tomorow to try and secure this useful northern base.

2 japanese divisions will march on burma , and will take tavoy/moulmein and possibly rangoon. before
we can move up men from malaya for an approach to mandalay and sea invasion of akyab. After that its
the burma army's job to close the burma road and delay allied attacks in depth if possible.

I was thinking about an indian adventure but i see that india now has additional home defence units
and would be a tougher prospect (although i have no idea what these home defenders are like). anyway
taking india is for a much more experienced japanese player than I to try and accomplish. and
i salute all those who have done it.

The landings at mersing have gon off well, despite lots of small allied raids the worst of which
was 2 wildebeest attacking the BB Kongo (missed). Leaky CAP form KB and a few ineffective petes
did little but maul the occasional blenhiem. Again shock attack ordered here and with 3 tank units
2 brigades and a full inf devision along with heavy artillery we are poised to cut singapore off from the rest of mayaly (fingers crossed).

KB attacks on singapore :-

Day Air attack on Singapore , at 23,50

Japanese aircraft
A6M2 Zero x 9
D3A Val x 135
B5N Kate x 143

Allied aircraft
Buffalo I x 9

Japanese aircraft losses
D3A Val: 11 destroyed, 52 damaged
B5N Kate: 4 destroyed, 15 damaged

Allied aircraft losses
Buffalo I: 11 destroyed
Catalina I: 1 destroyed
Vildebeest IV: 7 destroyed useful
Swordfish: 1 destroyed

Allied Ships
BC Repulse, Bomb hits 21, on fire, heavy damage
BB Prince of Wales, Bomb hits 18, on fire, heavy damage
DD Encounter, Bomb hits 1, on fire, heavy damage
DD Stronghold, Bomb hits 1, on fire, heavy damage

Allied ground losses:
42 casualties reported

Airbase hits 18
Airbase supply hits 4
Runway hits 41

no torpedeo hits at all, makes kate flak losses alot less and n the end torps arent required.

day 2 attacks

Day Air attack on Singapore , at 23,50

Japanese aircraft
A6M2 Zero x 18
D3A Val x 118
B5N Kate x 129

Allied aircraft
Buffalo I x 5

Japanese aircraft losses
D3A Val: 7 destroyed, 25 damaged
B5N Kate: 3 destroyed, 15 damaged

Allied aircraft losses
Buffalo I: 6 destroyed
Blenheim IV: 3 destroyed
Swordfish: 2 destroyed
Vildebeest IV: 2 destroyed

Allied Ships
BB Prince of Wales, Bomb hits 13, on fire, heavy damage SUNK
BC Repulse, Bomb hits 13, on fire, heavy damage SUNK
CL Mauritius, Bomb hits 1, on fire
DD Jupiter, Bomb hits 1, heavy damage
DD Stronghold, Bomb hits 1, on fire, heavy damage

Allied ground losses:
39 casualties reported

Airbase hits 9
Airbase supply hits 2
Runway hits 72
Port hits 6
Port supply hits 1

again no torpedo attacks , most strange .. still kate losses are quite acceptable. Tomorrow
KB is to hoover up the java sea then see if the allies send in ships to amboina or return to
singapore (possibly split and do both). and ensure NOTHING gets to help singapore and equally
nothing gets out ! .. need to bag those troops. the tankers should be in saigin by then so they can
keep the CV's near malaya at sea almost indefinately. the southern 1/2 can easily re-fuel
at Palau.

The nells at saigon were also on port attack singapore, wish i hadnt bothered as both days were
a complete poinless waste of time and effort. both attacks identical. i had upped the altitude
to 20k ft where i though they could not launch torpedos .. some few still did

Day Air attack on Singapore , at 23,50

Japanese aircraft
A6M2 Zero x 25
G3M Nell x 92

Japanese aircraft losses
G3M Nell: 12 damaged

Allied Ships
BB Prince of Wales, Bomb hits 1, on fire, heavy damage

Port hits 1

annoying .. you'd have thought that the experince and numbers would have done more ..

Philipines is a straight forward divide and conquoror strategy // san marcelano to clarke at speed
to cut off the northerern PI units for later. 2 divisions should have landed at legaspi and naga
in the south. only the naga landings happened, the legaspi convoy will unload tomorow. shame as i
was hopeing to trap the legaspi infantry/base units there but it appears they can escape now. no
biggie. Naga looks 2 well defended for one division to take on its own. will await the new one then
advance on manilla.

Davao/san marcelano/jolo amboina will all be attacked tomorrow. jolo and amboina have AV support with them so can fly in planes soon and close down the PI escape routes. Baby KB to be assembled
in formosa. is to be used to initially hit fleeing british/american ships then cover the less
threatened landings on borneo/sulawesi.

Hong kong looks tough. :-

Ground combat at Hong Kong

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 31596 troops, 325 guns, 17 vehicles, Assault Value = 540

Defending force 13261 troops, 122 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 233

Japanese max assault: 704 - adjusted assault: 468

Allied max defense: 256 - adjusted defense: 1501

Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 8)

Japanese ground losses:
337 casualties reported
Guns lost 12
Vehicles lost 2

Allied ground losses:
245 casualties reported
Guns lost 14

yikes do NOT like the look of that allied adjusted defence. this might take quite some time as i
cant move the 2nd div down from canton as chinese units everywhere ! .. i have attacked 2
of these rogue chinese behind the lines to discover they are "guerilla" units and not the
static ones i was expecting. managed to morce one to move onto the darn rail lines all
by myself while the attackers wallow in paddy fields

Ground combat at 51,35

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 17837 troops, 206 guns, 6 vehicles, Assault Value = 383

Defending force 743 troops, 2 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 26

Japanese max assault: 504 - adjusted assault: 408

Allied max defense: 27 - adjusted defense: 2

Japanese assault odds: 204 to 1

Japanese ground losses:
23 casualties reported

Allied ground losses:
110 casualties reported
Guns lost 1

Defeated Allied Units Retreating!

I'll screenie all relevant theatres next post . sorry it was so late last night i felt i had to
send the turn back to Aztez before commenting.

Elsewhere .. Wake falls when 2 more naval guard arrive, the initial one would have failed so
just as well . In case of allied CV's all combat CL's and DD's sent at full speed back to
kwajelien. Ak's can risk unloading supplies. (plenty more of them). The 18knot pre-WW1 CL will
remain to be more attractive to allied planes and she is a pile of junk imo.

Ground combat at Wake Island

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 5635 troops, 34 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 156

Defending force 1996 troops, 38 guns, 1 vehicles, Assault Value = 36

Japanese max assault: 310 - adjusted assault: 191

Allied max defense: 29 - adjusted defense: 15

Japanese assault odds: 12 to 1 (fort level 0)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Wake Island base !!!

Allied aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft losses
F4F-3 Wildcat: 6 destroyed

Japanese ground losses:
321 casualties reported
Guns lost 6

Allied ground losses:
2315 casualties reported
Guns lost 38
Vehicles lost 1

Japan has sent a reserve inf div to palau, where it can go either to Rabaul or sulawesi/timor
anyone have any comments about which might be a better option for now. ?

ok piccies next . promise

Hi Rob, I will be following this AAR closely as I am about to start the same scenario as the Japs. I nearly had a heart attack when I loaded it up just to have a lot at the dispositions of my forces. Where the hell to begin?

My other game is as the Allies using the same mod, only into late December but everything looks good up to now (A2A especially).

oh, Rob now you are finally and officialy on the right side

Hm... are you sure that invading India wont be a good solution? I mean - if you brought KB in the SRA you should 'exploit' that and use KB to cover landings in India...ASAP (you don't need to conquer all India, but Ceylon, Madras and then eastern India should be doable?)

I do not know about IJA units dispositions in BB mod but lets try it. How about:

1. after Singapore attack, raiding with KB in southern SRA... once when you capture Singapore (and you should capture Sing soon after you invade Mersing - at least that is how it works in the stock) load troops and invade Ceylon

2. After the troops are disembarked at Ceylon bring back KB and support landings at Java, Timor etc... (or you may even split KB and conduct both India and SRA invasions in the same time )

the rest is upon you

Go for Timor over Rabul, Timor can be turned into a mini fortress, Rabaul is just a death trap if Aztez decides to fortify it.

Miller - thanks for the comments , glad to hear i'm not alone with gawping stupidly at japanese dispostions, the fact the mods holding up well after a year is great news. thanks and good luck on your up coming game too.

Pauk , your advice is always welcome. you might be onto soemthing regarding indian adventure, but not at the expense of the DEI or creating a pacific perimiter./ lets see how quick i can take singapore.
I have been turned to the dark path afterall

auguatus .. yes its on spookys ( i had to look twice).

Wolfie. diamond harbour was in range of the paras by fying in tabbys asap as the current troops
transport a/c didnt have the legs. as it happens a small tank unit and base force are closing
rapidly on land so it was a bit of a wasted effort. almost almost got it turn 1 .. i made the
msitake of thinking that flying in a new unit would trigger a shock attack . didnt happen.

CT- you have no idea how many times i did that on setting up turn 1 , i still see green tf's
and try clicking on them

Little joe . i'm with you about timor , as i like to try and fortify it too, so best to play
against what i'd try and do i suppose is as good a guide as anything. Rabaul seems quiet for
now. jap RO class sub patrolling and 27 nells now in truk for any allied adventure. i'd like more
zeros but they are needed else where for now.

Well what can i say about the last turn ( and i got screenies). NICE ! (unless your dutch)

lets start at the beginning though.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/09/41

The remnants of the RN came out fighting at mersing . CL Danae put up a very brave show and
was only sunk on the 10th by nells out of saigon . the cheeky brits stayed and bombarded the japanese
landing beaches ! but at a terrible price. no japanese ships badly damaged.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/10/41

Allied subs from manilla and java are starting to make thier presence felt , no real attacks
and japanese escorts keep thier heads down.

Speaking of subs , the japanese subs originally near PH were moved out turn 1. about 12 are
standing off the american coast. while several more have been sent to the south and SW Pacific.
dual duty. convoy attack but also to act as scouts where i don't /cant have float planes.

Then KB spotted several dutch task forces at soerbaja ( as i was hopeing this caught Aztez
completely off guard and cost him a large chunk of the dutch navy) . fortunately the CAP
was pathetic else the unescorted strikes would have been costly.

Tomorrow KB will stand off soerbaja with main target being TF's secondary Soerbaja port to be hit
in an attempt to finish off any cripples. lets hope that the dutch air force does not contain many
suprises

Nell or betties have been sent to jolo/davao/kutching . amboina needs more supplies 1st. also
along are zeros as house rule i cant activate bombers the same turn as transferring. however
as the airfield icon will light up , fighters can and have been sent forward to prevent allied
bombing for free. Mersing recieves oscars/lily and sally bombers along with some sonias.
(this should prevent allied supply ships).

after a 4-1 attack on day 1 khota baru saw off the japanese ( 2 day turns do that ).

Meanwhile CL marblehead avoids 9 betties and manages to shoot down 2 with Flak. Not good .
Shes fleeing toward java and was found just south of Borneo.

A serious issue has arisen in China ! .. canton has been invested by a large chinese force.
I dont know if they can actually take the place but forts are being built just in case.
HK looks like a stalemate .. my bombardments shattered the japanese artillery and did nowt
to the british .. i'll try a shock attack with the engineers to try and get the forts down.
but im not too optomistic

Also the japanese tanks ran too fast ahead of the infantry to clarke field and are now broken
badly.

Looks like wake is going to get clobbered by the US BB's . regretting not sending at least
some CV's to the Pacific. That could have been a serious mistake. Also fast discovering that i
should have sent out a LOT more fuel and supply on turn 1 .. some shortages predicted in palau
at least. Oh well its a hard learning curve playing japan for the 1st time in 2 years and not
checking the mod out 1st .. idiocy or a challenge , you decide

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/13/41

Khota baru will get some supplies over the next couple of days (much needed). then we should be able
to finally take the place .. I seem to be utterly short of infantry . need more in the PI/Malaya
and by the looks of it , china.

I'm playing scen 192 - the extended map version of this campaign. You should find two 'southern area' Inf Divs in China - one in Tientsin and one in Shanghai. Thats probably where your missing infantry are. I use the turn 1 move to get enough APs there to load up on turn 2.

We will continue this tomorrow too and try and decimate the US Warhawks once and for all.

2 more allied merchants hit by 2 ariel torps trying to escape the PI (one left in that TF).
KB has had to be split according to our house rules (4C+4CVL max). Agaki, kaga, soryu and hiryu
will head back to java as lots of allied shipping being siighted by our LR patrol planes.

As an aside i LOVE the japanese search planes, makes catalinas look utterly obsolete.

2ND KB . with the 2 remaining CV's and one CVL are heading through the philipines to meet up with
the 2nd jap CVL at palau (she is currently covering the kandari invasion TF). Then possibly
down to truk/rabaul unless needed for Timor operations .. I'd like to have at least some CV's
in the pacific to scare off and allied attempts to grab wake back quickly.

bye for now .. piccie of a tanker burning off the US coast .

Just an observation here -
I noticed the game date is Dec 15, 1941. The main Japanese landings on Luzon (at Lingayan) didn't even take place until Dec 22.
There is a lot in the Philippines (they held off the Japanese for 6 months)... perhaps you are getting a bit ahead of yourself and going too quickly?

Good luck,
Brian

Hi big B .. many thanks first up for all your hard work.

We both went into this mod blind, i.e without loading up as the other side. So frankly i went
ahead with the only model i had (stock) for invasion planning etc. the sheer number of new
units at clarke was a suprise i admit BUT IF all my troops had arrived at the same time then
i think i'd have held off a 2-1 and retreat (albeit it might have been tricky , depending
on whats left in manilla) .. Naga's well defended too ..

Hi Rob,

Just curious about this air battle - were all of those P-40s destroyed A2A or were some killed on the ground?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And - yeah, the stock game dosen't prepare you well for what to expect. Learning by experience is the school of hard knocks to be sure.

air as the raid was against the port only .. seem too high to you ?
being used to stock its way down by that measure. some had also flown
over clarke on a smaller (not reported ) raid so they might be tired .

It seemed on the high side to be sure - but here is what I said on Aztez's AAR:

quote:

As for your question all those losses were air to air combat related.

Ahh, well - a couple of observations about the game engine I found from testing many many hours:
1) He currently has max benefit of the Zero Bonus (as we all know).
2) His Zero squadrons are around 70 experience (if they are land based) to your likely 55 experience.
3) He probably came in two groups of around 20 Zeros each - to I am guessing - your 3 squadrons of about 11 each and one squadron of 6 P-40Bs. That would mean in combat he takes them on individually with at least two to one odds (yuch).
4) the game engine has a BIG random factor per air battle - that about 18% of the time delivers a good whipping to one side (I have never found a way around that one, don't think it can be done without re-writing the hard code).
5) I have no idea how fresh each sides pilots were - but that really weighs in, (and also - LOW Morale can be your friend when at a disadvantage in air combat because your guys won't stick around to be slaughtered).

Put all those factors together... and occaisionally everyone gets spanked pretty hard.

Sigh... Carry on!

Brian

Its difficult to decide what to do at manilla, Aztez has ships in port and at sea so its
way too east for some high morale units to fly into the jaws of P40 death. just see how well
nates cope :)

annoying i admit . humm not sure what to do , except go onto 100% naval search and hope for the
occasional bomb hit ? .. then again when they target somewhere out side manilla its results
as expected.

Meanwhile KB and betties from malaya damage and sink about 7 AK's and AP's
seemingly doing something on the sumatran west coast ? wonder what ?
and KB Kates hit batavia port losing 4 to flak and finding the harbour empty.
We can be consoled that the zeros decimated the defending buffs and wirraways.

I suspect there is a large allied airforce in soerbaja so we'll give it a wide berth
for now (CV's anyway). and as we have already got the best of the dutch and now the
US surface units its only the boise on the loose and i think shes damaged (lightly).
KB to be on invasion duty and lesser KB to head to the pacific after the landings at
kendari . KB will frobably cover the next step which is a leap to timor.

KB location

KB's coming here to drive the final nail in manilla harbour and decimate the allied a/c too.
I'd like to catch some damaged allied subs in port too. killing the AS would be a huge bonus.

Malacca falls to the 5th divisions drive south and the BF's retreat to kuantan, nice POW camp for
now . The allied get driven out of alor star by a pir of NFL units . these will block
the allies in georgetown for now.

Allied are over optomistic on ground assault and they try to remove the japs from moulmein,
all they have achieved is to guarantee a japanese assault next turn (2 divs +tanks +hq)

Ground combat at Moulmein

Allied Deliberate attack

Attacking force 21253 troops, 220 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 553

Defending force 47467 troops, 546 guns, 119 vehicles, Assault Value = 1048

KB i.e Kaga/agaki/hiryu and soryu will strike manilla port and will have port attack as primary
mission to try and avoid unescorted strikes. fingers crossed .. several SS reported in port.

Confirmed sunk the 1st allied sub tody too APD's hammered S-37 in the china sea. the japanese ASW
is slowly getting better. sallies and nells fly ASW have spotted many subs and even hit a few.

Guns lost 39

Something you may want to consider....

Zeros are (obviously) much better than IJAAF fighters, especially with the Zero bonus. Put Zeros on sweep over Manila. Use Oscars to escort the bombers. Keep Nates out of combat as much as possible and upgrade them to Oscars. The Zeros will knock down the CAP each day and allow the Oscars to survive that much better vs. the remaining Allied fighters.

good plan. KB failed to launch in both turns I've ramped up oscar production but its mostly
still repairing . nates are occasionslly doing the odd ground attack run in china. never seem to
have enough zeros to do everything yet .. still its early days and i will eventually fill out
the nome islands fighter groups and move them else where.

Anyhoo on with the story :-

Johore baru got its first taste of the sally today and runways badly damaged. he has no a/c
there but it will prevent fort construction.

Day Air attack on Johore Bahru , at 22,49

Japanese aircraft
Ki-43-Ib Oscar x 19
Ki-21 Sally x 90

No Japanese losses

Airbase hits 11
Airbase supply hits 8
Runway hits 56

Japanese 1st attack failed miserably too. this is a big stack of commonwealth units and
will be hard to shift. although 3 more divs are in malaya mopping up/advancing etc. so
i should eventually have punch come mid january i guess. meanwhile the jap artillery
does hurt the brits.

Ground combat at Johore Bahru

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 66933 troops, 865 guns, 241 vehicles, Assault Value = 1379

Defending force 30047 troops, 216 guns, 6 vehicles, Assault Value = 647

Japanese max assault: 1309 - adjusted assault: 699

Allied max defense: 618 - adjusted defense: 1127

Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 5)

Japanese ground losses:
1151 casualties reported
Guns lost 56
Vehicles lost 3

Allied ground losses:
592 casualties reported
Guns lost 30

Ground combat at Johore Bahru

Japanese Bombardment attack

Defending force 29227 troops, 185 guns, 6 vehicles, Assault Value = 614

Allied ground losses:
145 casualties reported
Guns lost 7

Hong kong was a similar story .. also getting runway atacks for the same reason. 1st attack at
least took a fort level down .. 2nd was bad , but thats 2 day turns for you.

Ground combat at Hong Kong

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 28673 troops, 275 guns, 12 vehicles, Assault Value = 519

Defending force 12652 troops, 92 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 225

Japanese engineers reduce fortifications to 6

Japanese max assault: 1042 - adjusted assault: 1658

Allied max defense: 225 - adjusted defense: 875

Japanese assault odds: 1 to 1 (fort level 6)

Japanese Assault reduces fortifications to 6

Japanese ground losses:
292 casualties reported
Guns lost 14
Vehicles lost 1

Allied ground losses:
76 casualties reported
Guns lost 2

Ground combat at Hong Kong

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 28301 troops, 266 guns, 11 vehicles, Assault Value = 500

Defending force 12648 troops, 93 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 222

Japanese max assault: 928 - adjusted assault: 334

Allied max defense: 185 - adjusted defense: 1063

Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 6)

Japanese ground losses:
479 casualties reported
Guns lost 26
Vehicles lost 5

Allied ground losses:
52 casualties reported
Guns lost 3

heres a list of japanese losses so far. about 2-3 not on the screenie and thay are AK's so no great
