Sorry Mr Heath. Didn't see your last post.

To be on topic:

I used to be a regular subscriber to Computer Gaming World - that's how I got my game info. Now I just rely on internet word of mouth and checking out some game sites. I don't really see what more Matrix could do that would be effective nowadays.

edit2 -

Original comments removed by myself in response to Bob's request for fairness (and more importantly to hopefully lower the temperature).

A good product coupled with a satisfied consumer is the best available marketing.

A magnificent game like WitP (but a little less time consuming ) coupled with enthusiasitic players can be abig hit. Maybe all we need is another hit like I hope cEiA will be and with some guerilla marketing we can be as succesful as the Browncoats.

I'll agree with that Ursa, but I think what Dredd and I were talking about was promoting a game BEFORE release, to generate the buzz needed to sell more copies when it is released. I agree that happy people are the best marketing available, thus why I bought both Battlefront and ToAW (when it was on sale, another great tactic). But what I was referring to was what steps are taken to make sure that, for instance in the case of Carriers at War, a buy who is only nominally interested, decides that he should put money aside to buy it.

Mostly, I think Matrix does a good job. They are one of the few developer/producer (I am also rather active on Kerebos's Sword of the Stars forum) that actually come to their forum to both answer questions, deal with "messes," and promote their titles. In truth, this sort of support makes up for some of the lack of info on the main page. If I wasn't such a forum goer (like never logged in at all), I might think that some of these projects were either dead-in-the-water or not yet started from the accounts on the main pages. Coming to the forum, one finds that all projects are rather vibrant and quite alive. I'm not sure this is a big problem though, as I would think most buyers from Matrix at least browse the forum if they don't post.

What Moderators??

If my wife registered here and got a reception like his did, y'all would get one hell of an "introduction" from me. Sexual harrassment and internet stalking is against the law, at least in the United States. Apparently it's what passes for polite conversation in Denmark. And apparently it's not enough to warrant the attention of any moderators, as it's allowed to go on and on and on.

Interesting that you would bring up the law. Isn't it also illegal to encourage a mental case to commit suicide? How'd y'all solve that one again? Oh yeah, ban the victim.

I see Term has finally had some action taken against him. Another 27 warnings and you might have to start worrying too Dog - though something tells me you don't have the 1000' leash that he had.

Sorry Mr Heath. Didn't see your last post.

This thread was a discussion about whether Matrix promote their games or not successfully.

Good to see it's taken a nose dive like every other ****ing thread on here.

Nice one.

Oh, and frgpugs, nice of you to post that

Smead,

There are no partisans only moderators who try to do a good job and work on our products as well. Erik Rutins has become a whipping boy for some of you a simple misunderstanding. We hav both held back banning people assuming people will calm down and act their age and we all could move forward. Instead they few people get worse. For the true public record I and not Erik deleted Lisa account and thread by mistake after reading the forum and confusing the thread with another flare up that was happening at the same time. Erik told me of my error within a few minutes of me doing it. I emailed Lisa and told her of the mistake and let her know could have her account back.

I hope this once and for all clears that up.

David

Well im kind of talking for lisa here,And she says that she still cannot log in on either one of her accounts.
Otherwise she would be here defending herself.
But i doubt she will ever come back here permanently after the way she was treated.
So well done on that front.

First let me say I am sorry for the way your wife was treated here. It was a misunderstanding as you can read from above. Since she didn't reply I figured she had had enough and just left. This is NOT what Matrix is about but sometimes things like can happen. Please feel free to private message me and I will fix here account or better still just have her make a new account and let me know what it is.

David

Why are you scared?  I didn't threaten u I just said ur an azzhole.  The feelings prolly mutual and thats ok.  No need to defecate in ur pants.

We do not need your or anyone else view on another forum member.

Sure you do.  My opinions are priceless.  If you ban me though, make sure I can still log into the matrix store

And now its time for rate the thread...
using your best judgment base your opinion by utilizing the chart below taking into account that a type 5 thread is the best kind to have on a daily basis, whereas Type 1 is very disjointed hard to follow and dose not make much sense to the average reader, and of course the type 7 where a thread has been blown out (so to say)of all redemption and has become quite a mess.
I think we are currently type 3 but rapidly approaching type 6...

Terminus you step over the line once to many.... enjoy your one week ban.

David

?

Apparently someone forgot to inform Terminus:

Brilliant! Sometimes I think that the whole bunch of them are sitting next to each other in the same 3rd grade class and posting.

Doesnt sound like a terribly good reason to get into a pi**ing contest with a bunch of retards.

I had to scroll back a page or two on that thread to find what I was banned for... Forgotten all about it myself...

David H. already admitted to deleting "her" posts by mistake. He has apologized and extended an open invitation for "her" to come back; instead, a person identifying himself as "her husband" appears and says she won't. Very interesting.

Yep... I heard the sounds of struggle, and wanted to see if any of the Steakhouse Morons were stupid enough to provoke David Heath (for he was there) into banning them...

Which one and is there any chance they'll all storm out in protest? And I take it you were the bone of contention?

I was one of them. Apparently, he wasn't banned outright, so he keeps provoking David (who seems to be offline at the moment). Well, I guess we're seeing a trend here (off provoking moderators and admins)...

I was about to ask about that one week ban of yours. WTF makes you get involved? Serriously man, just let them be.

I'm confused...

I got to admit I'm sort of confused, too.

Terminus and his merry band of trolls are celebrating their victory over the rest of us morons. According to terminus, the only person to have done anything wrong here, besides us morons, is David Heath himself.

So not only is Lisa still a transvestite., but her husband is also a fraud, and the unproked slandering goes on and on and on.

Perhaps someone should warn me again. I'm obviously in the wrong here for daring to interupt the intellectual discussions.

WitP has turned into Whining Immature Terminus Postings.

I see he is doing the same thing that got him in trouble. Posting completely off-topic in a rude fashion about other posters on this board.

When will he start debating suicide since this board and his self-perceived primacy on it is all he has? I'm checking the odds right now.
