It's a bit strange: When enemy bombers hit home bases/cities I'm often informed that '27 hits' are scored. Nothing about which targets are hit. Have to go to bases/cities and examine for myself. Thus far 0 civilian casualties have been reported and I don't get any info about fires either. Can anyone confirm whether this is working as it's supposed to? AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/21/45 Air Combat More raids on the Home Islands. Andy is selectively picking targets with little CAP. Amazing how accurately he can do this. Today he was after resources and oil! More and more aviation support is becoming available and as soon as I can put 50 fighters on CAP in all threatened bases the B-29 threat will dimish markedly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on Akita , at 68,39 Japanese aircraft Ki-100 Tony x 8 Allied aircraft B-29 Superfortress x 68 Japanese aircraft losses Ki-100 Tony: 2 damaged Allied aircraft losses B-29 Superfortress: 2 destroyed, 3 damaged Oil hits 16 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on Asahigawa , at 71,37 Japanese aircraft A6M5 Zeke x 18 Ki-43-IIa Oscar x 11 Allied aircraft B-29 Superfortress x 41 Japanese aircraft losses A6M5 Zeke: 1 destroyed, 4 damaged Ki-43-IIa Oscar: 1 destroyed, 4 damaged Allied aircraft losses B-29 Superfortress: 1 destroyed, 14 damaged Resources hits 4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on Aomori , at 69,39 Japanese aircraft J2M Jack x 24 Allied aircraft B-29 Superfortress x 21 Japanese aircraft losses J2M Jack: 1 destroyed, 9 damaged Allied aircraft losses B-29 Superfortress: 1 destroyed, 14 damaged Resources hits 16 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on 3rd Australian Brigade, at 27,39 Japanese aircraft Ki-84-Ia Frank x 18 Ki-102a Randy x 20 Ki-49 Helen x 11 Japanese aircraft losses Ki-102a Randy: 1 damaged Ki-49 Helen: 5 damaged Allied ground losses: 35 casualties reported -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on 5th Australian Tank Regiment, at 35,39 Japanese aircraft Ki-67 Peggy x 20 No Japanese losses -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air attacks on enemy at Iwo has been stepped up!
