I'm an old Football Pro 98 junkie, and while I was aware that Wintervalley was developing a product, I did not realize how far it has come. The vision for this product is what I have been hoping for since Sierra pulled FBPro. I am a big fan of realistic simulations of football and the graphics/arcade aspects will always take a back seat for me. Nevertheless, "seeing" my simulated football team pound out a first down is vastly superior to reading about it in generated text.

After reading over these message boards for the better part of an hour tonight and being supremely impressed with the customer service and attitude of the main developer, I'm buying it. I know that it is still lacking in some features that I want (like connecting the sim engine to the graphics engine), but I'm really buying the idea as much as I'm buying the game. I have high hopes for this game! Best wishes on continued success. -Len

I agree.  That really sums up what the market for Maximum Football is.

Thank you for your vote of confidence.  Small developers need community support, and purchasing the game is the best support one can give.

That is very well put.

Thank you for posting!

I think with the release of 2.0 we should see this game living up to its potential. Now if David would just hurry up

I purchased the game a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I like to do a lot of custmization and this game is perfect for that. Plus you're right, seeing things played out on the field is a blast.

Thanks guys. I've been wanting a football game like this for quite some time. I've followed this games progress over the years but was reluctant to purchase after release till recently. I really liked all of the customization that I've seen others do and decided to give it a try. I'm more than pleased. In fact, I've been plugging away at creating a totally fictional solo football league (Metro Football League) with 20 teams, 2 conferences with 2 divisions each. I've almost completed it and may create a website so that others can follow it's progress like I do with my solo OOTP league. I must admit that this project has stolen most of my time away from OOTP, but I'm loving this game.

Dave as made good on his promise unlike Madden. I agree this is the New FBPRO. This is how a PC Football Game should be. Thank you dave, you did what the big boys are scared to do. You made a game full of possiblties.

I'm glad most are enjoying the game and you're all looking forward to version 2.0.

A lot has been changed and (I think) improved over the past 8 or 9 months so I hope people will be even happier with the new version.

thanks
David

Just wanted to add my thanks to David Winter and the Matrix team for all the work put into this game. 2.0 is great! As an FBPro mourner I now feel that the void has been more than filled, and I haven't even tried the PDS yet. The only thing that has me puzzled at this point is that I don't know what OOTP means? Will someone clue me in. I hope I am not too embarrassed at the answer.

Out Of The Park - an awesome text-sim baseball game.
