I created a PAC-10 League and threw in Michigan for a 10 game season.

I let the computer do the draft and training of all teams.

I let the computer simulate all games except for Washington and its oppenents.

Here's the problem:

I play as coach for the Huskies and win all games by a huge margin (59 to 10).

I've tried changing playbooks to no avail... a run around the right end almost always results in a touchdown.

My question is: How do you make the computer opponent more challenging without having to micro manage each team?

I like to win... no doubt. I would like to win in a close game though.

Thanks for any input.

You might have the wrong defensive playbooks.  Most of the playbooks were designed with LBs and safeties too close to the line.  Because of interferences and pursuit angles, the defense has a hard time defending the edges.  Try my conservative 43 Defense on FBMax.  I dropped the MLB back around 5 yards off the line and safety beyond 7 yards.

Deft is correct. You definately have to move beyond the default playbooks.

Try here:

and here:

Defts are on the 3rd link

This game can be both too easy and too hard.  It's up to you.   There are plays that work all of the time.  There are plays that hardly ever work.  When playing the computer only, you need to take away the plays that always work for you.  You need to find and give the computer all of the best plays.  A lot also has to do with the computers profile.
