Hello all:

Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring except me on my PC with keyboard and mouse!

Hey guys:

Just an update that I am cranking on the 1.01 patch and we're trying to get as much included as possible (Over 50 fixes and enhacements so far!). I will be a little light on the forums the next few days with some family things going on but will still be coding.

Appreciate the support and patience!

Merry Christmas!

Once the patch is applied could the games in progress continue?

That is correct. Some fixes and options may only be active in new games going forward i.e. If we were to add the Lille sea crossing as optional then it would not effect games currently in progress but only new games since this option would only be applied at the beginning of a game.

The bugs were all listed in a report sent to him there, in hope that Marshall would focus and fix them with care.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Any chance we could unwrap the patch on Christmas morning?

Yeah, I know, wishful thinking, but this is the season for miracles.

No lies here, probably not! We're on a skeleton crew the next few days (me included) so it won't be touched as much. I'll keep you posted.

LOL Have a Merry Christmas Marshall. If anyone deserves to be rewarded for patience and graciousness it is you. Some people , I am not naming names, have been pretty harsh on you in the past and we, errr..they, actually were rewarded with your hard work, dedication and grace under fire. So have a good one and enjoy the respite!

I LOVE the game, Marshall (and all others responsible for its development).  I'm chiefly playing solitaire (where I play all 7 nations), as I find the AI a little weak (to be expected).  My wife hates it, calling it "that evil game," because I've spent so much time playing it since its release!

One question/suggestion:  If I purchase special forces (cav., guard, artillery), and I do not have a corps available in which to place them when they become available, it appears that I lose them altogether; whereas in the original EiA, you can at least convert them to infantry.  The same is true of dropping a garrison -- if you absolutely must drop a garrison, but all you have available is cavalry or guard, there is a provision in the original EiA for converting them to infantry.  It's costly, but it is often better than the alternative.

I'd love to see this added in a patch/update (or you can tell me how it's done, if I've overlooked it!)

Many, many thanks!

Regeurk (Tim)

Thanks again.

Tim,

To convert these factors, double-click the “Current Reinforcement” yellow text header in the Nation Statistics box BEFORE they are placed (see below).

Also, coming in the first patch, a player will be alerted that certain factors will be coming on as reinforcements during the next quarter so that the player can buy the necessary corps counter (if needed).
