So in my game against the AI, I've decided to conquer Alaska as part of my grand strategy.  The idea is to have a and defensible base to the north of Alaska from which to threaten PH...not that I ever expect to take PH.  The hard part is finding the troops to do it.  4th Fleet is ill suited...so I'm spending poilitical points to expand Northern Area Command.  Which ultimately will have about 2 divisions and a fair few base forces.

Dood - why mess around in the frozen tundra?

If yer playin' the AI, you can treat it like we used to treat Sueann the Local Punchboard back in high school - go wherever you want and do whatever you wanna do.

I assume you've already got Midway. Johnston yours yet? These are a lot closer to Pearl than anything in Alaska.

Besides, you don't have to worry about freezing your yangy off (and I can't think of too many things worse than having a frozen yangy).

Yeah, this looks like a needless diversion of resources to me too, Boy Genius.

Yea, do whatever you want in your game against the AI but don't attack Alaska.

Hmmm...seems to be some disagreement amongst the officer corp...I'll have to do what any self-respecting evil genius would do...execute the officer corp and find one that agrees with my point of view.

I don't have Midway or Johnston Island...yet.  I don't have the resources.  I didn't use the first round "warp speed" transport feature, so it's taking forever to ship things around.

I figure once I take Anchorage that will completely "freak out" the AI...plus it will make an excellent sub base.

First though I will have to take New Caledonia and the North Island of New Zealand...otherwise any Alaska invasion will have to be done with light cruisers and spare air units.

Dropping a burning cigarette on to your bell-end is very unpleasant. Trust me on that

I bet there's a he11 of a story behind that, but I won't ask...

Back in my younger and more foolish days (at least I think they were), a couple of us miscreants managed to slip some Red Hot (athletic muscle rub) into a pack of condoms my pal Phil was taking with him on a visit to his long-distance girlfriend.

We knew our scheme had worked, because he was not a happy camper when he came back (oh, we put it on both the inside surfaces and the outside, so that she could enjoy the "stimulating" sensation, as well).

LOL! That's even better than the Ben Gay in the BVDs we pulled on a guy in college. Beans and franks in the sink under running water is a hilarious sight.

Hi all,

quote:

ORIGINAL: Terminus

A very large reservoir of bad eating habits to give up... Years and years of sitting on my ass shoveling food and candy in my mouth, getting bigger and bigger. One day, I looked in the mirror and thought, "This is where it stops".

Since then, I've been gradually weaning my body of all the bad stuff, and stopping thinking that I have to have food all the time. As a result, my stomach capacity is shrinking, which means that I feel full faster and thus need less.

I peaked at about 260 pounds, and am now down to about 240. I'm taking my goals in 10-pound increments, so it doesn't overwhelm me. I need to lose about 40-45 pounds more, but I'm taking it nice and slow. Eventually, I'll get to the point where I'll have to start exercising to get rid of more, but for now I'm happy to score all the free points I can get...

Oh my...

Best of luck in your effort "T"!

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
BTW, I am 177 cm and 75 kg (for USA brothers this is 70 inches = 5 feet 10 inches and 165 lbs)

Well, it's now been two months since I decided that enough was enough, and I'm now nearly 20 pounds lighter and continuing to shrink in size. Nice to be in charge of my body again, instead of my stomach being in charge of me.

Outstanding, T! Congratulations, and keep it up!

I guess everyone is getting off to a slow start on this Monday.  It's pretty quiet.

Good afternoon chaps What a horrible dull night that was last night, with the added fun that it was chucking down water pretty much all night.
