3 x Hudson I bombing at 12000 feet
5 x Blenheim IV bombing at 12000 feet

guess this time Miller was surprised to see fighters on Cap here as I had a recon unit here before and the airfield symbol didnīt turn into dark red when I moved in 81 Zeroes. Parts of the Allied strike failed to locate the target, this included probably the escort also, which again saved Miller from more losses. We lose 3 fighters on the ground and take only 10 bombers down. I guess I wonīt see more strikes from Karachi on Bombay anytime soon...

Hyderabad and KB clouded in, this is the only strike on 2nd UK division today, hopefully enough to disrupt the unit as weīre deliberate attacking today... KB has now to return to Rangoon...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Madras

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 222564 troops, 2144 guns, 1505 vehicles, Assault Value = 4860

Japanese max assault: 4549 - adjusted assault: 4459

Allied max defense: 554 - adjusted defense: 1757

Japanese assault odds: 2 to 1 (fort level 5)

Japanese Assault reduces fortifications to 5

Japanese ground losses:
1508 casualties reported
Guns lost 30
Vehicles lost 27

Allied ground losses:
2225 casualties reported
Guns lost 53
Vehicles lost 15

our air to ground attacks helped a lot it seems, the UK division only showed about 50% combat strenght during the ground combat. This still brings the enemy a quite good adjusted av but far from the 6500 adjusted av like last time and so we achieve a 2:1 already. We will try to keep up the air attacks with the land based bombers, probably soon having the attack alt lowered to 16.000ft as KB will leave the scene. Another supply convoy is unloading at Yanam now, bringing again some 21.000 tons of supplies, desperately needed after this attack at Madras. Supply is a daily issue...

Would be good if we could finish the assault on Madras within the next two weeks, the enemy is moving half a dozen troops out of Eastern India now. The troops I have East of Bombay probably wonīt be enough to block all those forces coming from the South.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Sian

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 14302 troops, 463 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3635

Defending force 145692 troops, 1031 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 4449

Allied ground losses:
193 casualties reported

Attacking force 8386 troops, 289 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 2991

Defending force 41201 troops, 324 guns, 252 vehicles, Assault Value = 747

Ground combat at Pomala

Japanese Deliberate attack

Aircraft Attacking:
11 x Ki-49 Helen bombing at 21000 feet

we have spotted three Allied units at Panaji and as we have ordered four of our TK rgts to the base we have ordered a ground attack to attack the (hopefully) strongest unit there. The bombers go after the base force and weīre more or less sure that there isnīt a real combat unit at the base. Some 14.000 troops are reported, we have ordered the 4 TK rgts to shock attack tomorrow. Itīs a clear hex and we expect some forts. As the TK rgts donīt have any combat eng we have to shock attack to bring down the forts. If we arenīt succesfully with the first attack then I expect the base to fall with the second or third attack. Panaji is important as it has a 300 resource center and half a dozen HI and itīs the last base in "Western" India so when we take this base we donīt have to fear a counterattack out of this base anymore, while the chance to see a counterattack out of that base was very small anyway as all the transport capacity of the Royal Navy seems to have been withdrawn so amphibious operations donīt seem to be an option for Miller.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Sian

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 14285 troops, 462 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3636

Defending force 124985 troops, 886 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3789

Allied ground losses:
214 casualties reported
Guns lost 1

as you can see, the Chinese assault value has gone down, Miller moved three units onto the road North of Sian to counter my encircling attempt with troops sitting NE of Sian. Looks like Miller has learnt from his previous defeats and is now trying to act against my moving ground war. I donīt have to dislodge those troops North of the base I just have to hold the hex and Sian will be cut off. Will be interesting if he brings enough troops to force me out of the hex again. I doubt it, Iīm moving some 1200 assault points into that hex.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Madras

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 23753 troops, 295 guns, 17 vehicles, Assault Value = 4771

Allied ground losses:
24 casualties reported

deliberate attack tomorrow... we pray for air to ground attacks...

Ground combat at Manila

Allied Shock attack

Attacking force 9195 troops, 40 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 94

Defending force 4860 troops, 33 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 148

Allied max assault: 138 - adjusted assault: 0

Japanese max defense: 139 - adjusted defense: 245

Allied assault odds: 0 to 1

Japanese ground losses:
17 casualties reported

Allied ground losses:

hehe, looks like Miller received another PA division as reinforcement in Manila...

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 07/04/42

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub attack near Kwajalein at 79,79

Japanese Ships
AK Kokko Maru

Allied Ships
SS Pompano

spotted the sub yesterday moving towards Kwajalein, moved two ASW TFs out to hunt it but had no success. Pompano enters the port together with a supply convoy and attacks the big AK Kokko Maru. Torps failed to detonate! LOL, unbelievable how unlucky the Allied subs have been the last weeks.

Iīve gone through the sub sinkings and believe it or not, the Japanese subs accounted for more sinkings and the far more important ones.

Japanese subs sank 27 ships so far, including CV Saratoga and CA Pensacola. Allied subs sank 24 ships so far, the most important of their hits was on one of my APDs.

Even though my ASW forces are not performing like I would like them to, the Allied submarine force has more or less been unsuccesful.

Allied ground losses:

good to see those A2G attacks, this should keep the disruption within the Allied division high. The succesful attacks by my LCUs should also result in a high disruption within the defending units. All that is preventing us from constant ground attacks is the supply situation. Iīm expecting the base to fall within the next three attacks though.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day Air attack on Madras Naval Base Force, at 18,21

Japanese aircraft
Ki-21 Sally x 10

Allied aircraft
Hudson I x 3

No Allied losses

Japanese Ships
AK Nittatsu Maru

Aircraft Attacking:
3 x Hudson I bombing at 6000 feet

Miller has put a couple of bomber squadrons into the area around Calcutta, seems like he dispersed them into Calcutta, Diamond Harbour and Chandpur to prevent me from taking out bigger numbers of bombers with airstrikes out of Burma. This strike comes from Chandpur (the majority failed to locate the TF) and it alerts me.

One thing I didnīt understand was the fact that he didnīt try to attack my supply convoys so far that were going from Rangoon to Yanam without any escort as I couldnīt really afford the fuel for my BBs to shuttle between the two bases. Two or three dozen Hudsons and Wellingtons could have sunk or damaged quite a couple of AKs and one bomb hit on those small AKs most times results in the majority of supplies lost on the ship. He seems to now have realized that my supply line is still far from being secure and starts long range strikes. IMO again far too late with probably far too few force.

Ground combat at Madras

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 221477 troops, 2122 guns, 1485 vehicles, Assault Value = 4795

Defending force 32458 troops, 243 guns, 391 vehicles, Assault Value = 559

1195 casualties reported
Guns lost 19
Vehicles lost 42

Allied ground losses:
1636 casualties reported
Guns lost 36
Vehicles lost 26

weīre making good progress! Hopefully the base will fall after the next two or three attacks. I have ordered all my TK rgts North now, I hope they wonīt be needed here anymore. As Miller has been sending his forces out of the Calcutta area North on the rail towards Delhi I could really use those tanks up there. I fear they will be too late though. I have to block those reinforcements going North, best would be to drive them back or pin them down in the Delhi area.

When Madras will fall - and I guess thereīs no doubt it will fall - this will free up all those divisions that are still in amazing good shape to go North and East to destroy the Allied strongholds in India.

The only real problem still is the supply situation. My bases hold 47.000 supplies, which means that there have gone some 200.000 supplies to my air and mostly ground units! Thatīs a hell a lot! 10% of the total available supply for the whole map have already been used in this invasion of India! And if we donīt take a bigger Allied supply depot soon there has to come 250.000 more supply, but at the moment I have no clue where to take it from! My supply levels are not really sufficient at none of my fronts and it will take half a year to bring my frontline supply depots to the desired levels.

A victory in India and China would make my supply levels grow pretty fast I guess as a) stopping the ground war will mean far less supplies being used and b) especially India will support the Japanese Empire with a lot of supplies

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Sian

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 185218 troops, 2352 guns, 13 vehicles, Assault Value = 3634

Defending force 125361 troops, 890 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3804

Japanese engineers reduce fortifications to 8

Japanese max assault: 3543 - adjusted assault: 2159

Allied max defense: 3847 - adjusted defense: 4619

Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 8)

Japanese ground losses:
7257 casualties reported
Guns lost 127
Vehicles lost 4

Allied ground losses:
3251 casualties reported
Guns lost 112

ouch, but this was a necessary attack. I expected to see the forts being high again, this big number of Chinese div/corps has enough eng to build up the forts in no time. All our troops were 100% combat ready so we could afford this attack with only one goal: burn Chinese supplies! I hope that it takes a lot of supplies when 125.000 Chinese troops have to defend against one of our attacks. Four of our divisions have to be rotated out now as the losses were pretty excessive. 8 of our divisions have nearly 10% of their troops disabled now but it should not be much of a problem to bring them back to strenght again as Homan is well supplied and has enough support squads.

When the ring around Sian is closed we will do more and more attacks, hopefully seing the Chinese supply depots being depleted soon. Without supplies, the base has no chance and we will destroy 125.000 Chinese troops. Expected time frame until Sian will fall: 3-4 months.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Panaji

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 9115 troops, 6 guns, 577 vehicles, Assault Value = 320

Defending force 11220 troops, 30 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 3

Japanese max assault: 544 - adjusted assault: 357

Allied max defense: 1 - adjusted defense: 12

Japanese assault odds: 29 to 1 (fort level 5)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Panaji base !!!

Japanese ground losses:
52 casualties reported
Vehicles lost 3

Allied ground losses:
14586 casualties reported
Guns lost 17
Vehicles lost 1

BANZAI! Our TK rgts were once again succesful! Panaji was defended by the Panaji base force, a full aviation rgt and parts of another RAF aviation rgt. I guess the full aviation rgt arrived just a couple of days ago as a reinforcement, this is bad luck for Miller.

Without combat troops, the Allied had no chance to hold off the attack in open terrain and nearly 15.000 Allied troops are POWs now. And the next good news: we captured the 300 resource center 100% undamaged!!!!

The Allied lost 250 points for ground losses today, now at 10.679.

BANZAI!

thought that Diamond Harbour would also have long range medium bombers. We torch 9 Swordfish instead which isnīt bad either but we also lose 6 bombers today... all those Japanese bombers are flying trash... Hit rate was excellent, this attack was flown on extended range with low bomb loads.

Those units attacking Madras will recover very quickly any losses........most should be disabled. 1500 supply per day pretty much assures victory.......60,000 supply per month. That is just what has been captured so far. You have it made now. You should not have to import any more supply. Unless you want to keep the very high tempo.

But to use just what is in country right now, you can pause for a few days, reshuffle units etc and then make your pushes.......India is so big, and there are not nearly enough units to stop you.

it does look better now with Panaji, Bombay and Ahmadabadīs resources secured, considering the huge amounts my troops sucked up in two months of the ongoing assault on India then this is not even half of what we needed per month. I hope to see my supply needs to look better when the battle for Madras is over though. A couple of weeks later, the assault on Karachi will start and my needs will increase again.

What we also need is more fuel at Bombay to feed the IJN battlewaggons to do constant bombardments of Karachi. We will also have to take the East of India and therefor Iīm still sending AKs full of supply to Yanam, hopefully soon to Madras as I donīt want to see any assault being stopped due to not having enough supply on hand.

And I definetely want this adventure being succesfully ended as soon as possible as I need those Southern Area divisions elsewhere.

just thinking about how useless Allied subs have been the last couple of months, Herring puts 2 torps into one of my precious big TKs just South of Japan. The TK is heavily burning but has a chance to survive, amazing after two torp hits. It will arrive at Tokyo tomorrow and will be disbanded into a level 9 port with a nav HQ, two AR and a big ship repair yard. SS Herring also entered Tokyo today. Three DD ASW TFs will go there tomorrow also.

Even 8 escorts didnīt prevent the sub from attacking. Iīm really cautious with the most important ships in my arsenal but how many more escorts should I use to guard my tankers?

I would guess Miller doesn't have many troops at Karachi, seeing how he tried to race his units there.  With 18th UK in Burma IIRC, and 2nd UK soon to be wiped away at Madras, and many indian divs here and there, you might be a bit pessimistic about the "long siege of Karachi".  Do you have available units in the north in sufficient numbers to push to Karachi while still holding Ahmadabad ?

great victory for you, "chris san". invading india alone would be a logistical nightmare for me and to preform such na "blitzkrieg" there is even more impresive.

when the japs capture karatchi, whats with all the UK reinforcements? are they gone for ever or will they be redirected to another port?

if paul does not get anything new from UK, you should win the entire war.

Do you have available units in the north in sufficient numbers to push to Karachi while still holding Ahmadabad ?

at the moment recon tells us about 8 units at Karachi, but only some 30.000 troops and normally you get a higher troop number than there really are, so Karachi seems to be lightly defended. Miller is trying to move perhaps half a dozen units towards Karachi but most of them are somewhere around Delhi now or further South and it looks like I can block them. So at the moment it looks pretty good. My tanks are moving North and should be in the area within the next 10-14 days, movement with tanks on the railroads is pretty fast.

I can only block Karachi at the moment, not to think about an assault before my Madras troops have arrived.

great victory for you, "chris san". invading india alone would be a logistical nightmare for me and to preform such na "blitzkrieg" there is even more impresive.

when the japs capture karatchi, whats with all the UK reinforcements? are they gone for ever or will they be redirected to another port?

if paul does not get anything new from UK, you should win the entire war.

thanks

all UK reinforcements will get stucked in the reinforcement list, which means they all move down to 1 day and hold there. As soon as Karachi or Bombay is freed by the Allied, all those troops, ships and aircraft pop up immediately.

Even if I can completely knock out the British in India Iīm far from winning the entire war. If you mean auto victory, yes, but I wouldnīt need a single Indian base to achieve that. And I donīt care about autovictory if it means stopping the game. Itīs nice, but my strategy isnīt pointed on an autovictory and I donīt expect to see the game ending just because I achieve an autovictory. But winning the war is out of scope for the Japanese, the US will still crush all my defensive positions from 44 (at the latest) on...

As it stands now, I canīt see a single chance to see Miller avoiding a Japanese autovictory. He must be lucky to see the point ratio being below 6:1 for the Japanese in 1/43.

we cross the river towards Yenen and the two enemy corps hold. There must be a HQ also in the hex as we spot three units but during the combat replay we only see the two inf units. Wooden hex and forts that canīt be brought down (IMO bug that you canīt destroy forts outside bases... or just overlooked?) will make it hard to overcome those two corps here...

BANZAI!!!!

After a long and bloody battle, Madras falls today! This is a great and important victory in India, at the moment Iīm really confident to take out the whole subcontinent as this victory in the South now frees up nearly 4000 assault points to be thrown onto the remaining enemy units/bases. We will now of course focus on Karachi with most troops going there. But of course we wonīt send everything there as the South still has to be defended if a couple of Allied units march in from the East (I doubt it as Miller seems to be going North but who knows). With the troops up North already and the TK rgts arriving there soon, we will be able to succesfully block the enemy from reinforcng Karachi and we will be able to attack Karachi with the same assault value we had to take Madras, so I will launch the attack on Karachi with around 4.000 assault points.

Madras didnīt have big supply depots, only 10.000 supplies captured, but we were able to also capture 65.000 fuel which will be needed as I will bring in some heavy IJN units to take out Ceylonīs airfields.

The enemy lost 750 points for ground losses today, now at 11.543!

one of my previously hit TK sunk at Tokyo. Fire levels were to high and it turned out to be too much for the precious ship. Losing one of the big TK is a disaster in Nikmod as the capacity was reduced by 1/3 compared to stock with the same number of TK. This means Iīve got now a tanker capacity like I would have in stock somewhen around early 44 if the subs would have done a good job.

we only engage enemy subs if they atack us first it seems... and then the efforts are just pathetic. Herring suffers a whopping near miss... at the moment Iīm fighting 3 Allied subs around Japan with 4x6 DD, 6 MSW and 6 PC in 6 ASW TFs, supported by numerous Jakes and Alfs and a daitai of Helens...

Aircraft Attacking:

even though we had two Zero daitais on escort only one decided to fly... which proved to be to too less and the Hurricanes bounced our escorts taking one Zero down and evading the rest going after the bombers immediately to shoot one down. But this time we torch a good number of enemy ac on the ground. Of course we suffer op losses again, together with the flak losses we lose 5 bombers again. This resulted in 5 crews lost also... Needless to say that the Zero pilot is dead too...

Very good news from Madras indeed.  I hope your LCUs were not shredded by the defence there.

With India conquered, China subdued, and maybe (who know) no more USSR in Siberia, you might not be able to completely hold away the USN, but you'll have much more assets to use, from LCUs to aircraft, to supply, to shipping, more HI/ressources/oil, etc.  You'll be hard to push back... and this foretells much fun for the readers.

ahh, so you recommend me to invade Russia also?

Knocking out India and therefore having this front secured until really late in the game when the US and Australian forces decide to retake it is a big advantage, no doubt. Knocking out China or better say reducing it into an area not big enough to supply the 100+ Chinese units is also a big advantage as you donīt have to fear the Chinese hordes breaking out sometime in 44. But all those troops on the continent in China and Mandchuko are restricted commands so even if I would completely conquer India, China and Russia - LOL - then I couldnīt use those units for a defense against the US and Aussie forces as I canīt lift those restricted command units out into a defensive line in the Pacific or SRA.

I will still be "stuck" with the Southern Area command div/bgd I have now and the reinforcements of course. And a couple of restricted command units I will buy out with political points. Supply will be plenty around I guess, also resources wonīt be a problem. Oil still stays the same problem with my tankers being probably the bottleneck. The expected Allied bombing campaign against the Home Ilsands will still have nearly the same impact as if I wouldnīt conquer India as Iīm only producing aircraft and engines in Japan. And aircraft/engines will probably be the numero uno target for the B-29.

The biggest advantage is to not having to fear the British/Indian offensive on Burma/Malaya in early 44.

Yes, why not Russia. You showed such proficiency in China and India, that your respectful readers expect something more everytime. It would be interesting, to say the least.

Re: restricted command units, it's true most of those units would be stuck there. But base forces, artillery, engineers, tanks, etc, are much cheaper than infantry, and they can help much. All those air groups that would be released (at much lower cost) are also interesting, at least as ASW vigils.
Note, you're not forced to pay PP at full cost for every unit : when an LCU has many disabled squads, its cost is much lower (I wonder if disruption doesn't also reduce the cost, as it seems to be keyed on AV), so if towards the end of the fighting in India, China, and/or Siberia, you accumulate enough PP, you can have two or three times more units out of the restricted commands. Same goes for air groups : transfer them when they're not full.
Perhaps more tricky : if you bottled up the chinese corps in Chungking, set a full division or two to make a deliberate attack, or a shock attack. Hopefully, you'll get many disabled squads, and maybe a few destroyed squads, but the cost in PP will be greatly reduced - and after a bit or R&R in Shangai or Pekin, you'll have a full division at reduced cost (half PP, a bit of supply and a few armament points).

Well, just my two cents of newbie.

Iīve already changed nearly all of my air units from China and Mandchuria into non restricted commands and am using them wherever they are needed.

And also ALL my tank units were bought out already, thatīs why Iīm using over a dozen in India! Iīve received two understrenght divisions that were also bought out and are now slooooowly building up, both cost me some 1000 pp.

This means Iīm fairly low on pps at the moment. Base forces out of the restricted commands arenīt needed at the moment, Iīve got so many coming as reinforcement that Iīve got problems moving them out to the front due to not having enough lift capability as 80% of my shipping is still around Rangoon and Burma due to the India invasion. I bought out a couple of AA units though.

Art units arenīt that cheap, they cost something around 300-400 pp, considering that a whole div is around 3000 then itīs not worth it IMO as I donīt think that art units have the effect in WITP they should have, especially when being used against troops landing at a hostile beach. I could be wrongh though.

I know that itīs cheaper to buy out units that are mostly disabled but thatīs somewhat gamey for me. If itīs an understrenght unit, ok, but if the unit is at full (or nearly full) strenght with lots of disablements then I donīt see the point why it should be cheaper as the unit will be 100% ready within 2 months at the latest. Building up a div from 30/30 to 100/100 takes nearly a year.

Good thoughts about the "wreck a division to buy it cheap" but as Iīve said, for me thatīs an exploit.

That's your call on it, nobody else may make that decision.  I only suggested this, seeing what Miller does at Manilla (ordering shock attacks to wipe his own units faster, to rebuild them from fragments).

we moved into the base yesterday, immediately ordering a shock attack as I was 100% sure to see level 9 forts and the only way to bring them down fast is with a shock attack. It was a gamble as there are three units West of Yenen on the road and Iīm sure Miller ordered them to move into the base again. Would those troops have arrived, it could have become a bloody defeat but his troops didnīt make it and there were only two HQs, a base force and the two understrenght corps that were forced to retreat a couple of turns ago. Forts at level 3 and another shock attack tomorrow. If Iīm lucky again, the enemy reinforcements will still be on the road, which would mean the base will fall tomorrow already. Thereīs nothing that could stop us from taking the Northern bases as Sian is cut off and there are only minor units left in the North that can move around.

Yeah, IIRC there should be two 9" CD guns grouped with over a dozen 6 inchers. Probably not that much supply at Trimcomalee.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 07/18/42

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub attack at 62,44

Japanese Ships
AP Surabaya Maru, Shell hits 6, Torpedo hits 2, on fire

Allied Ships
SS Grouper, hits 4

thatīs the downside of not including escorts, the sub attacks on the surface. Must be a lot of FOW in this attack as I doubt that the AP was hit by two torps as itīs only moderately damaged. Sys, flt and fire in the 30s, the ship has a good chance to make it into a level 9 port. Would Grouper be hit by 4x3 inch shells it would at least be burning so I guess this is alos just FOW... Thereīs also a MSW ASW TF in the hex...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day Air attack on Koepang , at 28,77

Japanese aircraft
Ki-43-Ic Oscar x 91

Japanese ground losses:
41 casualties reported

Airbase hits 6
Airbase supply hits 1
Runway hits 50

Aircraft Attacking:
1 x B-25C Mitchell bombing at 15000 feet

hmmm... Miller learnt... a lot of those Mitchells are Dutch groups, couple of weeks ago they were still flying Martins so he figured out he should upgrade them to those durable medium bombers. Well, Miller took once again the advantage of the feature that he can see my aircraft transfers and attacked this base immediately after he spotted the dark airfield symbol. Donīt know if it was an advantage today though.

Just look at the damage rate the Allied bombers took and then look at the op losses further below... When my bombers fly 2 hexes without any defensive fire then half a dozen crash constantly even though they are very experienced. We damage 100+ Mitchels that are flying at absolute max range and hey... 1 lost to ops... at least 9 more were going down on the way home, accounted as a2a kill

we were quite lucky not to lose more Oscars on the ground it seems and in total we lose 5 pilots today. The good thing is that the bomber morale must be totally trashed and I donīt really fear to see them coming back anytime soon.

attack out of Delhi... As the Allied troops canīt break through towards Karachi, 7 of them have entrenched at Delhi now, which is urban also. Two of my inf units are moving there or have already arrived and I will just block the enemy there while preparing the other troops to assault Karachi where we now spot 10 units and 40.000 troops. Looks like troops arrived from the reinforcement list.

Japanese Ships
BB Ise
BB Hyuga, Bomb hits 2
DD Yukikaze

Aircraft Attacking:
2 x Wellington III bombing at 5000 feet
2 x Hudson I bombing at 5000 feet

looks like I was lucky as most of the enemy bombers failed to locate the target. Iīve got some 80 fighters at the base, they were all set to escort because my bombers were ordered to fly an attack - which they didnīt... Hyuga got a secondary armament turret knocked out...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day Air attack on TF, near Madras at 18,21

BB Hyuga, Bomb hits 5, on fire

Aircraft Attacking:
3 x Wellington III bombing at 5000 feet
2 x Hudson I bombing at 5000 feet

another strike in the afternoon. The bombers are coming from Ceylon and this time they achieve quite a couple of hits, knocking out another secondary armament turret. Both ships accumulated something like 4 sys points and also 3-5 fire points so the total will probably be 5-7 sys points. I donīt like that.
