What a **** turn... I´ve also got a lot of CD guns, but they will evaporate... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TF 1062 encounters mine field at Lautem (33,78) Allied Ships DMS Wasmuth DMS Chandler DD Balch, Mine hits 1 the DDs aren´t even on fire when they hit such a mine... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67 Allied Ships MSW Agra DD Rathburne DD Kane -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67, hits 4, on fire, heavy damage Allied Ships DMS Perry DD Reid DD Preston DD Smith DD Perkins the sub is dead after two hits... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67, heavy damage Allied Ships DMS Wasmuth DMS Chandler DD Isaac Sweers DD Clark -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67, heavy damage Allied Ships AK Empire Antelope AK American Press AP McCawley AP Barnett MSW Agra DD Rathburne DD Kane -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67, hits 1, heavy damage Allied Ships DMS Wasmuth DMS Chandler DD Isaac Sweers DD Clark DD Balch DD Walke DD O'Brien DD Russell DD Mustin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Naval bombardment of Koepang, at 28,77 - Coastal Guns Fire Back! 20 Coastal gun shots fired in defense. My support troops are 100% disabled/destroyed, just like at Midway, just like at Canton. This is the third invasion of Miller and the third time he does the trick with the float plane to be 100% sure to 100% destroy ALL my support troops and CD guns. I´m sure this will be the same for the rest of the war. Ha! Another Allied fanboy should tell me that only the IJN is able to do nukes in the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Lautem at 33,78 Japanese Ships SS RO-67, hits 4, heavy damage Allied Ships DMS Wasmuth DMS Chandler DD Isaac Sweers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TF 1054 encounters mine field at Lautem (33,78) TF 1054 troops unloading over beach at Lautem, 33,78 Allied Ships MSW Penguin DD Aylwin AP Empress of Asia, Mine hits 2, on fire DD Monaghan Allied ground losses: 14 casualties reported Coastal Guns at Lautem, 33,78, firing at TF 1054 6 Coastal gun shots fired in defense. OMG! 15 low exp Swordfish attack and sink my BB... Well, the luck has switched sides again! The enemy airfield shows 94% damage but this is wrong intel it seems and the enemy achieves a wonderful hitrate with his low exp bombers. I´m quite pissed of as you can imagine. This is my first major loss and what really pisses me off is the fact that I was just dumb enough to send the BBs in again instead of bombing the airfield to be sure the Swordfish are destroyed. Everything went wrong this turn... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Sian Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 14102 troops, 458 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 2700 Defending force 117958 troops, 663 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3730 Allied ground losses: 137 casualties reported Guns lost 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Lautem Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 2924 troops, 17 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 147 Defending force 9991 troops, 112 guns, 6 vehicles, Assault Value = 510 Allied ground losses: 9 casualties reported Guns lost 1 Miller landed parts of the 2nd USMC and parts of an Australian division. Nothing else ashore so far but I´m sure there´s more to come next turn. As it looks like, he uses one TF for each unit that he lands. We had not a single airstrike today, I hope to see one next turn. We spotted Hornet sitting four hexes South West of Lautern, I´m sure all available Allied carriers are nearby. We have only some 100 assault points from inf units, the rest is from the wrecked base forces which aren´t existing anymore. I have no doubt that Miller will take the base. This means from now on it will get an interesting game as we now have real war going on! IMO Miller attacked a tad too early. Even if my defenses in this area don´t look how they should, he has no P38 yet, he has no Corsairs and of course he has no Hellcats. But he also is short by 3 US carriers at the moment. If he doesn´t get Lautern operational soon and keeps it operational then he´s in trouble. I´m already thinking about giving up the assault on Karachi and just keep the base sieged forever and move out 3000 assault points after securing the rest of India (except Karachi and Delhi) and throw it against the Allied invasion. We will see... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Yenen Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 65092 troops, 700 guns, 2 vehicles, Assault Value = 3453 Defending force 43841 troops, 239 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 1252 Allied ground losses: 28 casualties reported -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Dimapur Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 24157 troops, 313 guns, 7 vehicles, Assault Value = 1844 Defending force 5586 troops, 4 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 18 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Kweiyang Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 15892 troops, 202 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3346 Defending force 211178 troops, 644 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 4664 Allied ground losses: 14 casualties reported
